Makes me wonder if anyone on the left and the US media are familiar with Operational Risk Management or are they just playing dumb?

During the Cold War, we were trained on resuming operations after an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) attack. If worse comes to worse, the new normal would mean donning on protective suits and gas masks everyday with regular decontamination procedures. No one will just stay indoors and curl up in bed until they die. The main point will always be a resumption of daily life even if it means having inconveniences.

Isn't Trump the one who was pushing for Voter ID? It's hugely unpopular on both sides. For both left and right people hate it because it's anti-privacy. The left additionally find it as discriminatory against minorities.

That's what I and other military folks were trained to do. We have to be functioning again in a relatively short amount of time.

ORM applied to the current CV19 pandemic isn't and shouldn't be as extreme. But, the priority should still be on resuming operations while mitigating as many risks as possible. It's pretty much balancing acceptable risks and the benefits of taking such risks.

This brings back old memories of Colombia. These people said they worked directly for Trump. Supposedly, they invaded Venezuela using rickety fishing boats. That got me thinking..... If Trump really wanted to invade and do Black Ops in Venezuela, it would be under the Department of State with real Green Beret/Delta Force operatives and the might of the US military.

These guys looked like Bubba from a bar at 'bama. I supported DoS folks in Colombia and they're way more professional than this. I think these guys watched far too many Rambo movies. Personally, I thought they looked like drug runners, the kind of people we were supposed to catch.

Fishing boats..... Geeez, man. Even I could think of a better plan than that.
