coz the Fed is unwinding its balance sheet after years of bond buying

the Fed is now selling bonds instead of buying

if US treasury bonds flood the market, yields will go up

    and the dollar will follow

    but that ain't happening

the Fed isn't selling fast enough for yields to rise

US long bond yields are low also coz of low US inflation

but US inflation won't stay low for long

a reminder on the effect the weak dollar on commodities prices --> global commodities prices go up

we could see commodities rally in 2018

    i hope i'm wrong

coz here in Ph, new taxes combined and higher commodities prices will cause a lot of pain

Commodities Forge Record-Setting Rally as BP to Miners Surge - Bloomberg

Commodities are forging a record-setting run of gains that straddles the end of 2017 and the start of the new year as crude oil notches multiyear highs and investors bet that synchronized global economic growth will help to sustain rising demand.

The Bloomberg Commodity Index, which tracks returns on 22 raw materials, posted an unprecedented 14 days of gains to Wednesday, closing at the highest since February. After recovering from an early dip on Thursday, the gauge was up 0.2 percent as Brent and West Texas Intermediate rose along with metals.

    i ain't giving up

    the dollar will recover

the euro has rallied far ahead of the data

    long euro is overcrowded

the market will wake up to the interest rate differential

US tax reform will support the dollar

the repatriation tax cut will encourage US companies to bring home overseas profits -- that will pull hundreds of billions of $ from outside the US
