it's strange that our central bank is moving in that direction
other central banks have stopped issuing large denomination bank notes (like the ECB no longer issues 500 euro notes eventhough those that remain in circulation are still legal tender)
criminals usually only use cash and large denomination notes make it easier for organized crime to transact and transport large amounts of money
and large denomination bank notes make it more complicated for central banks to implement negative interest rate policy
coz people would hold cash instead of keeping money in the bank

i think it's coz the life of a 20 peso bill is much shorter than other denominations coz it's used more often
