Yup,- understand - driven my world market conditions.

Just to illustrate, local situation (distance = 1,500Km a month) : This is about 18,000Km a year - our typical drive...

Gasoline at P42 per liter; 7Km a liter. Total cost of fuel is P9,000 a month
Diesel at P31 per liter; 8Km a liter. Total cost of fuel is P5,812 a month

Difference in fuel cost is $3,187 a month.... Or, P38,250 a year

Yep. Which is why we don't buy gasoline rides anymore, and our relatives are all gradually switching to diesel once they change cars.

None of our diesel rides are smoke belching, and only one is noisy (Revo) 😂

The looming fuel excise tax will cement preference for diesel over gas. Nissan's variable compression engine can't come soon enough.

    Thanks for sharing bro.

    I ran some quick calculations,-

Based on the current prices of diesel fuel and gasoline,- the proposed increases in their prices over the years would just maintain the price ratio at approximately- diesel fuel prices being at 70%ish compared to gasoline prices.... There you go....

    crazy intraday action last night

news that Saudi Arabia increased production caused oil prices to drop

Then minutes later damage control -- Saudi says increased production not meant for international market, went to domestic storage

    oil prices recover

Oo nga bro,- pero give the tax money to the people and let us decide:

    1. Kung kotse o padyak ang dadalhin namin pa opis
    2. Kung steak o tokwa ang i-iskorin namin
    3. Kung kanin o kamote and tsibog etc. etc etc.

    ^^^

that is why we're getting rollbacks

fund managers have cut long positions

in other words they're getting out of their bets that oil prices are going higher

    they're exiting their trades

it only dropped today. if its sustained for the rest of the week then maybe rollbacks will be larger...
