diesel is more efficient, but the engine sizes are also bigger.

IMO, for diesel engines, you should be happy with 10km/l on the city and 17+kmk/l on the highway.

my old MT diesel innova gives me 9-10 km/li in the city, and 13 km/li in slex, which is what the manufacturer claimed.
i can probably do better than 13/li, if i were falling off a cliff. heh heh.

you also have to factor in that diesel engines are more fuel efficient than the same gasoline engine on the unit pulling the same weight.
