China is the biggest market of Japanese goods...why risk US$345 billion in trade?

In 2011, China was the largest market for Japanese exports, while Japan was the fourth-largest market for Chinese exports. China’s shipments to Japan totaled $148.3 billion last year as it imported $194.6 billion of Japanese goods, according to Chinese customs data.

Mamaya malalaman natin kung iinit pa. Anniversary ng start ng Invasion of China which caused the deaths of 30million Chinese civilians ngayon...

Japan was also bolstering its defences around the disputed East China Sea islands after state media reported a flotilla of around 1,000 Chinese fishing boats was sailing towards them.

The Japanese coast guard said it has so far been unable to confirm the arrival of the fishing boats, but it spotted one Chinese fisheries patrol ship in waters near the disputed islands shortly before 7 a.m. (2200 GMT)

The Japanese government has set up an information-gathering operation to monitor the movements of the Chinese fishing boats.

Hands off lahat ng mga countries mentioned sa gulo...

Also many asians still view the Japanese with animosity, remember the massacre of Manila?

Various credible Western and Eastern sources agree that the death toll was at least 100,000,[1] tallying to around 10% of the population of the city. The massacre was at its worst in the Battle of Manila, in which the Allies shelled the city of Manila to drive out the Japanese. By the time the Japanese were driven out, the city was in ruins, becoming the second most destroyed Allied capital city during the war, the first being Warsaw in Poland.[2] During lulls in the battle for control of the city, Japanese troops took out their anger and frustration on the civilians caught in the crossfire. Japanese troops looted and burned, and brutally executed, tortured, decapitated and ***ually abused Filipino women, men and children alike, Red Cross personnel, prisoners of war and hospital patients.

1,000 Chinese Boats to Sail Near Disputed Islands

Local news outlets say up to 1,000 boats will set sail from Fujian, Zhejiang, and other coastal provinces after a fishing moratorium on the East China Sea was lifted September 16. Each year Chinese vessels sail to the waters around disputed territory known in China as the Diaoyu Islands and in Japan as the Senkaku Islands. Authorities say the islands have been designated as a maritime patrol area to protect the safety of the fishermen.

Uniqlo to close more China stores on Tuesday as demonstrations spread

    TOKYO | Mon Sep 17, 2012 6:54am EDT
(Reuters) - Japan's Fast Retailing said it will close more of its Uniqlo clothing stores in China on Tuesday as it expects anti-Japan demonstrations there to escalate.

Asia's largest apparel retailer said it will close 19 Uniqlo outlets in China on Tuesday, up from seven on Monday. One store will be operating at shortened hours on Tuesday, compared with nine on Monday.

Ok lets talk weaponry of the combatants and possible allies..

China's unending supply but questionable quality vs Japan's handful but western/US supplied (perceived quality and proven track record in the middle east).

How bout the quality of troops and personnel. China's mass of human beings vs Japan's........damn what do they have? aside from the Voltes Team.

Japan has a decent sized Navy, and a good Air Force. China has the numerical edge, but the Japanese have better equipment and nearly just as many large combat ships.

China has the advantage of having one aircraft carrier, to allow sorties to launch closer to Japan. But that's just one carrier. One leaky old Russian carrier.

China has the numerical advantage in fighters and bombers, but not if you only count their more modern fighters. It will be interesting to see Su-27s mix it up with F15s and Mitsubishi F2s...

Of course... if China does decide to pick a straight-up fight with Japan, the US will definitely step in. The US is already making moves to hem in China as it tries to bully all its neighbors while trying to lock down strategic gas reserves. And the Chinese Navy and Air Force are simply no match for the US.

No one is going to side with China. Maybe Russia would lend some tactical support, but I doubt it'd be in Putin's interest to meddle in a small territorial dispute. Everyone else in the region is against the belligerent Beijing government. NoKor will have no interest in getting involved, either.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
