Fisrt of all, it's just a slogan and some "experts" are already calling it a campaign. Those are 2 different things. People ought to wait for the campaign to see how well the slogan applies itself. If you saw the word "Priceless" without seeing the MasterCard campaign, what would you have concluded? Jewelry comes to mind. "It's toasted" reminds me of bread. That was Lucky Strike's old slogan. People should wait for the whole before pouncing on one part. It's like criticizing Angelina Jolie's lips, Cindy Crawford's mole or Meagan Fox's thumb without looking at the total package.

"WOW" has probably seen better days, kaya ni-retire na. Even HK and Singapore have changed their slogans, quite possibly to become more competitive. Ex-usec Enteng Romano hit it pretty accurately when he said it's more fun to bash.

The new DOT slogan and soon-to-be-launched campaign was a product of bidding among several ad agencies, according to the news. Siguro naman the selection committee saw a gem in the presentation, enough to make them select the current slogan. When we see the new campaign and decide that it sucks, then we can always go back to bashing. But if it's got potential, then we should all rally behind it and help make it a success.

    Nice touch!
Viral should be positive though, we do not want other countries to think we can not make on our own. Anyway, whether good or bad slogan we should give our share to support the dot.

kung slogan pa lang, 5M mahigit na ang nagastos nila.. what more kung talagang campaign na!! and to think puro TY pa yung mga photos na pinaiikot nila with their 1st barrage...

ang key is to spend on ads and marketing... sa Pilipinas, basta milyon milyon na ang kontrata, laging napapariwara... kaya para mailabas lang ang campaign, small budget para hindi maging attractive sa mga swapang... but ano naman ang magagawa ng small budget?

I believe kahit na may mga dugong Pinoy itong mga nabanggit na to, at most you can get (if you're lucky) is free appearance for these guys.... but the thing is, ads need production - materials, designers, ad space.. all of which are businesses pa rin.. so kailangan talaga gumastos.... and all the agencies in between get a cut... best kung dumiretso na lang....
