Hidilyn Diaz on Tokyo 22 Olympics bid: 'I need financial support'

An Olympic gold doesn’t come cheap. There is another filipino athlete, a pole vaulter by the name of EJ Obiena, who is gunning for an Olympic medal. His Phl record is 5.71m, a world class standard (currently, he is more than a meter more than his closest pinoy competitor). He is trained in Italy by a Russian coach. By his estimate, he needs approximately P220,000 a month for everything.
The Philippines is clamoring for an Olympic gold but is too cheap to spend for it.

Bro, I'm reminded of Wesley So's case. Our athletes are better off immigrating somewhere else. That's how pathetic the politics behind our sports program is.

As for me, the gov’t shouldn’t be wasting money on the SEA, Asian or Olympic games anymore. To much waste of our hard earned money. Just think, we will be hosting the SEA games but the Sports bodies are in disarray. And to think this happens everytime. After every SEA games, officials promise change pero ganun pa rin. This country is really doomed.

While she and other athletes are training under sub standard conditions, sports officials are busy quarreling among themselves, lusting for power.

Peping Cojuangco is the biggest thorn of Philippine sports. Vargas kicked him out, along with his cohorts. I dunno how they will ever recover with the SEA games right around the corner.

Vargas seems to be a sensible guy and definitely deserves the post, but unfortunately Peping's camp would rather resort to bullcrap rather than support the new leadership, ayun Vargas raised hell in their last General meeting.

Peping & cohorts had a meeting without informing Vargas, the PSC Chair.

dapat dito si metro manila meron isang magoversee lets say kokontra if may magpapatayo condominiums. Or ituturo saan mas kulang. Hindi pwede freedom ang bawat city kasi hirap na nga sa tubig and overpopulated traffic nga eh.

Kasi kung kanya kanya walang mangyayari chaos lang damay damay.

There should be one final decision sa mga ganito plano. May master planner.

Ang baso nga napupuno pipilitan nyo pa ba.

Kailangan ko ng drones to check the view at the top kung ano dapat ayusin.
