"MANILA (3rd UPDATE) - A man who uploaded a series of videos accusing President Rodrigo Duterte's family of getting millions of pesos in kickbacks from the narcotics trade has been arrested, an official of the justice department said Thursday.

The Youtube clips titled "Totoong Narco-list" claimed drug money was funneled into the bank accounts of Duterte's son former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, his son-in-law Atty. Manases Carpio and former aide Christopher Go.

Atty. Charito Zamora, officer-in-charge of the justice department's Office of Cybercrime, confirmed that the man who uploaded the videos was arrested "for cyber libel."

No other details were immediately available pending the report of the National Bureau of Investigation, she said. "

"On April 29, the NBI Cybercrime Division secured a search warrant for Jayme’s residence, signed by Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 148 Judge Andres Soriano. On April 30, they searched Jayme’s home and arrested him.

Was he arrested for sharing only? So far, yes.

“Rodel Jayme published the link of the Ang Totoong Narcolist in the said website which facilitated the circulation of the subject videos,” Guevarra said.

But the DOJ Secretary said there might be “possible offenses” he might have committed once the NBI has examined his seized gadgets.

The NBI recovered his computer, phone, and “other paraphernalia”, according to Guevarra."

I just remembered the Jim Paredes Video Scandal case. Have the DOJ and the NBI found the culprit/s of that crime? Are they even remotely pretending to be looking for the uploader/s of that private video?
