    i think for now rmb-php is still pegged to each currency's value against the dollar

    long term goal -- as trade and investment and tourism between PH and China increase without using the dollar, the 2 countries' central banks will be able to find rmb-php value without having to use the dollar as reference

    I'm all for warming up ties with China in preparation for their eventual ascension as the world's largest economy.

    But increasing diplomacy does not have to come at the expense of giving up our sovereignty and natural resource as debt repayments.

    let's wait and see if the money will really flow in to PH. sana hinde ma korup ng mga pulitiko.

    i still wonder why they are not stating the complete terms of the loan. (interest rates). if it is less than 1% then it's not that bad na din.

    A few days ago he wanted Congress to make ROTC mandatory again, this coming from someone who openly admitted to cheating his way out of ROTC.
