They all made up their solutions on the fly nung na bring up yang endo sa presidential debates.

As usual, nangako si duts na in 6 months or whatever aalisin nya yang endo. Antatanga naman ng iba, nagpa-uto.

GOOD NEWS: DOTr-PNR REOPENS CALOOCAN-DELA ROSA, MAKATI LINE

The Department of Transportation (DOTr)- Philippine National Railways (PNR) reopens today its train service from Caloocan to Dela Rosa in Makati, 20 years after it was closed to the public.

DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade said that this project, which was borne out of the creativity and accumen of the PNR headed by General Manager Junn Magno, is in line with the efforts of the Duterte administration to begin the revival of Philippine railways.

“This is a good initiatve from PNR. We will not just add, but also rehabilitate. We wanted to move fast, but at the same time, we had to ensure na wala tayong nami-miss out na posibleng solusyon. This is a good opportunity for us to make use of what is already there – aayusin na lang kung kailangan. Hindi lang ito dagdag serbisyo sa publiko, kundi dagdag-kita rin sa gobyerno,” he said.

The Caloocan-Dela Rosa line is the fastest and most cost-efficient means of transportation from Caloocan to Makati, with running time of 37 minutes. It was shut down sometime in 1997, as part of it was supposed to be utilized for the Northrail Project; however, much of the rail tracks lay unused.

PNR General Manager Junn Magno said the revival of the line segment was through the effort and cooperation of several agencies.

“The Caloocan line segment was a departmental track used by PNR between the Tutuban and Caloocan workshops. It was heavily damaged because of water intrusion, so we embarked to repair the track back to common carrier grade. The LRTA offered old ballast material in May 2018; we used that to rebuild the track. Then the MNTC offered to haul it out of LRTA Pasay Yard. When things were in place we began refurbishing the old stations,” he said.

GM Magno explained that the original intent of rebuilding of the track was to slowly transfer material away from the Caloocan workshops, in preparation of the North-South Commuter Railway or the PNR North 1, which will run from Tutuban in Manila to Malolos in Bulacan. The project broke ground in January this year. Meanwhile, the DOTr has decided to use the remaining track time to generate revenues at the same time serving the Caloocan-Makati corridor.

Six trains with a total capacity of 700 to 800 are deployed during the soft-opening today, to accommodate an expected 10,000 passengers. The first trip from Caloocan to Dela Rosa leaves at 5:45am, while the last trip from Caloocan is at 5:15pm. From Dela Rosa to Caloocan, the first trip leaves at 6:28am, while the last trip is at 5:58pm. The initial 13-km route run will stop at 10th Avenue (Macario Asistio), 5th Avenue, Solis, Blumentritt, España, Sta. Mesa and Dela Rosa stations. Minimum fare is set at PhP12 (non-aircon) and PhP15 (aircon).

The Caloocan-Dela Rosa, Makati Line shall be operational until the construction of the PNR Manila-Clark Railway line becomes in full blast.

Agree, this is the real reaosn for this mess. Pinangako kasi without taking into considerations why private companies, even public agencies have JO, have contractual employees.

If i-regular mo kasi yun, laking gastos everytime papalitan or aalis.

    Meron solution 'jan.

Ok lang na magkaron ng employee regularization to replace endo or contractualization. But, the manner of termination or dismissal by employers should not be as restrictive as it is, especially when you consider employee performance or malfeasance. Dadalhin sa NLRC tapos meron pang order of reinstatement with backpay.

There should also be respect and recognition for term employment, as long as it has been agreed between employer and employee, i.e. company employs an individual for a term of 1 year to complete a specific work or project. Meron full benefits as employee, pero after 1 year, the employment ends.

Problema dito sa mga militante, they want to have their cake and eat it, too.

Department of Education! If government agencies themselves are practicing endo, and getting away with it, why indeed are private companies the only ones being punished?

Hanggang December 31, 2018 na lang ang mga JO. Unfortunately ang ipapalit is basically the same. The JOs will be absorbed by a private manpower company which will in turn be contracted by the government agency just like a security or janitorial services.

Hehe ganun din. Lumaki pa gastos ng gov't kasi may agency fee na. What a brilliant idea.

Try reading it, maski web edition lang. You’d be surprised at what they write there against opposition. I’ve always wondered where they get their fantasies. Sometimes, in order to know your enemy, you have to know how they think (in this case, what they read)

Yeah, especially that Tiglao, palibhasa nakalaya na yung dati niyang boss. At least Saguisag and Tatad (despite him being Macoy's info minister) are the sensible ones in that bunch.

Nevermind that he doesn't even want to send patrols into the WPS. But watch the video on the 40sec mark.
