Two motorcycle robbers die in encounter with QCPD;
PCSupt Esquivel Jr said, one of the two unidentified suspects was between 35 to 40 years old, about 5’7” in height, medium build, fair complexioned, wearing a black T-shirt, maong pants, black bonnet, black ball cap; and the other was between 25 to 30 y/o, about 5’1” in height, medium built, fair complexioned, wearing T-shirt, maong pants and gray bonnet.
The report showed that at around 8:25 p.m., June 6, 2018, the suspects arrived on a black Smash Suzuki motorcycle without plate number at the Famous Kitchen along Scout Tobias, Brgy. Laging Handa and declared holdup at gunpoint.
The suspects took the mobile phone and cash money of the store owner then quickly fled.
A service crew of the establishment immediately reported the incident to PS-10 and alarmed units for possible interception.
Policemen conducting Oplan Sita along Roces Ave., near Gate 1 of Amoranto Stadium in Brgy. Paligsahan spotted and flagged down the suspects. However, instead of stopping, the suspects sped off towards Morato Street.
Tactical Motorcycle Riders of PS-10 pursued the suspects but were opened with gunshots. A brief exchange of gunfire resulted in the death of the suspects.
Recovered from the suspects were two .38 caliber revolver without serial numbers with five live bullets, seven fired cartridge cases of caliber .38, and the mobile phone and cash money stolen from the victim.
Police investigators are still verifying whether the slain suspects were those responsible in two robbery incidents last June 1, 2018 near F. Manalo cor. Judge Jimenez in Brgy. Paligsahan and at a Japanese restaurant on Scout Tobias, Brgy. Laging Handa, Quezon City.
