Hindi lang naman kahirapan dahilan ng PP. It may be something else that triggers it. Or maybe not.

Malay mo magresign si PDigong once si BBM na VP.

    Oh well

    sige

And di ba very very very empathic naman si mypres ... mabilis siyang maawa sa mga tao naghihirap ... he "feels" for them ... so for their sake, whether or not TRAIN is the culprit or not, he will suspend TRAIN .... kasi di naman "manhid" si mypres di ba?

^ people too busy starving to death to care about the electiins i guess.

Kakaawa yung Venezuela ngayon. People killing each other over mango trees, hospitals placing newborns cardboard boxes.

well if we're going to use Venezuela as a benchmark on how much pain a population can bear before they topple their leader

then the Philippines has a long long way to go before the population topples du30

which is bad news for the anti-du30 crowd isn't it?

i would think you would want the PH population to have a lower pain threshold before they demand du30 to step down

Iniisip ko din yan kung bakit. Maybe guns, goons and gold plus you have severely weak institutions.

We endured 20 years of Marcos ... so we already have an idea of what the PH population can withstand.

Pwede naman "magbago" si mypres ... but until there are signs of that ... like biglang naging mas assertive siya against China over the WPS as one example... and not just #changescamming .... (corrupt) business as usual ... sadly, I have to agree with you there ... but that does not mean that good men should just give up when they see evil being done to their country ... that does not mean it's ticket to being apathetic about the situation until it affects one directly ... sabi nga ...

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
P.S. Ikaw nga di ka bumoboto, affected ka sobra ... ako pa na bumoboto.

But we don't have oil to sell to fund the autocratic dream. I really don't know how maduro is (mis) managing this.

    Train law made things worse

    So did the weak php

Point is train is NOT the only factor but it is getting all the blame

I already explained this baka sabihin ng iba paulit unit

I was quoted so I had to reply
Thats it TRAIN law is suceptible to market volatility

now the consumers in general are in deep trouble

imagine instead of rising oil prices we had falling oil prices starting in January all the way to today (and let's assume USDPHP remained steady at 50)

so TRAIN starts in January with $65 brent and falls almost every week to $40 today

so we would have 1 major fuel price hike in January due to TRAIN

but there would be rollbacks almost every week coz oil prices was on a downward trend

we would barely feel the excise tax right?

    --

like i keep saying -- bad timing lang ang talaga ang TRAIN

nag umpisa siya when oil prices was on an upward trend

    another example:

    sugar sweetened drinks

laki ng tinaas ng softdrinks diba?

but we don't see prices of softdrinks go up every week right?

one time big price adjustment lang

di kasi taas baba ang presyo ng softdrinks tulad ng crude oil

re rising commodities prices (metals, energy etc)

if you're an importer, i'm 100% sure earlier this year your supplier in China advised that they would be raising prices due to higher raw material cost

dagdag mo dyan ang USDPHP rising from 50 in January to 52+ today

importers had no choice but to raise prices

    since PH imports almost everything

higher import prices contributed a lot to inflation
