Pnoy made my life better by increasing the non taxable amount in bonus. Sana ginawa na lang P100k instead of P80k.
I also like the changes made in philhealth (seniors are automatically members)

Parang madaliang solution lang yung ginawang tax exemptions, Kim Henares wants this:
Henares said she has nothing against lowering of taxes but she felt that tax reform was more important. The biggest defect is the gross inequality in our tax collection system which favors the interests of the rich over the middle class. Salaried employees are automatically deducted withholding taxes and end up paying 32% of their income as taxes. On the other hand, the very rich rarely pay 32% of their total earnings as taxes. It is not only tax evasion but the tax structure. For example, dividends, a form of income monopolized by the very rich, are taxed at a much lower rate than the salary of a clerk.
I live a very comfortable life. The incumbent abnormal president and the presidents before him, has nothing to do with what I am now. Will Duterte makes my life better? I don't care. But I do care for this country and its people.
Taxation in our country needs to be reassess. Though I wouldn't mind with the current 32% if it's being use properly.
With regards to the non taxable bonus i wish it's applicable individually on all bonuses. Coz right now if it got used with the 13th mo then our 14th mo bonus and so on are fully taxed.

i don't think bir cares how many bonuses the taxpayer has, sir.
they just total all the moneys the taxpayer received in one year. then they subtract the discount, and tax whatever is left.
all the bonuses for the year are added and totaled. if the total is 82K or less, the bonuses are not taxed. if the total is more than 82K, only the amount in excess of 82K is taxed.

The presidential bet who cursed Pope Francis is now the top pick of Catholic voters with a voter preference of 30% to Poe’s 27%.

[emoji16]

Why I am Voting for Duterte
The Philippines almost always become very political during elections. Friends become enemies and enemies become allies depending on who you support for president, and yes even vice president.
To my friends who have been asking me about my choice for president this coming May 2016 elections, let me tell you now. I am voting for Duterte.
Why?
Here are some of my reasons:
1. I love the hypocrisy. Duterte supporters are one of a kind and have a very unique way of showing their duplicities. You have lawyers who say it's okay not to observe due process and thereby losing some clients in the process. You have devout Catholics, Baptists and other religious fanatics who profess their love of God in one Facebook status and say it's okay to disobey the 6th commandment, thou shalt not kill. A commandment that is written not just once in the Old Testament. You have teachers and parents who support denying a wayward juvenile the right to rehabilitation and learning from one's mistakes. And then you have the people whose family members were victimized during the Marcoses, who spew and spout invectives at the attempt of a Marcos to return to the Palace, and yet also supports the iron handed rule that is similar to the Marcos way. You have supposedly learned and enlightened people saying that yes, let us return to the dark ages and act like babies that need to be policed. Yes, I love seeing the hypocrisy in people, it makes them more human.
2. I am amused by the irony. Over the years, you would have thought that a people that goes through an election every three years and a national poll every six years would have matured. We have seen signs of people refusing to sell their votes, even if that meant meals for a week for their family. But here we are regressing to the point where we wish to see more statesmen ruling over our country yet are unwilling to vote those that comes close to being a statesman. When Jovito Salonga died, a lot of people flooded Facebook with sighs and dreams of finding another politician like Salonga, and his contemporaries, Diokno, and Tanada. Yet they are clamoring for the presidency of somebody who is the exact opposite.
Another irony? We as a people gushed, cried, went into a stupor at the sight of the Pope arriving at our airport, saying mass in Tacloban, or just standing in his Popemobile. And yet, when Duterte cursed at the Pope, we excused him for his actions and reasoned that it was a joke.
3. I am sick and tired of critical thinking. I have been voting for the past 6 national elections and the many midterm elections in between. With each election, I went with my conscience and voted for the one who seemed to be the perfect choice for our country after days and weeks of looking at their platforms, their readiness, their experience, and yes even their resumes. But heck, I voted for Gloria, and I voted for Pnoy and you see how those two clowns turned out. We finally had a great showing as far as the economy is concerned, and for the first time our debt are no longer subprime.
But who needs an economy that flies high even when neighboring economies are floundering when you can turn on the TV and be entertained by your president? Six months to end corruption, crime and drugs? Yup, it reads like science fiction mixed with episodes of Gangland, NYPD Blue, Scandal. And that's just from one sentence he uttered. Who cares about platforms and realistic goals? If that is what the people want to hear, then let's hear it!
4. Bisaya na pud! Having been born in Balamban, Cebu and raised in a sleepy town like Dumaguete, I think that the Bisaya are a great people. We are a proud people and no doubt we have great and talented people in our ranks. That is the reason why a lot of Cebuanos, Warays, Ilonggos and other people from the Visayas and Mindanao have risen in the world stage and not just in politics but just about any field. And yes, that is enough reason for one to become president. His place of birth, where he was raised and where he stayed his adult life. It helps if he speaks the dialect as well. More than everything else, we should elect a Bisdak president because somehow that would guarantee good governance, a more humane administration, and yes, an end to all our problems.
5. I love being lied to. Unlike other politicians who promise the heavens and the moon to voters and then not honoring that promise once in power, Duterte is unique. He doesn't wait. It doesn't take him long to backtrack. He doesn't wait until he's elected. For instance, he said that he would not run for president in October 2015. Not even a month later, he announced that he was running.
Back in February 2016, he said that he would end ALL crime, corruption and drugs in six months and even provoked naysayers by saying that if they don't believe him, bayot ka! Then in March, he says he would TRY to end crime and drugs, but will definitely put a stop to corruption in six months.
6. I like to belong. Peer pressure is nothing to the Duterte fans out there. It is not a campaign but a cult. Nobody had that much charm since Hitler and it is something that you should be in awe of. Put into good use, Duterte could very well harness his following and do something great. But we all know that all that adulation and adoration can get into one's head and we could all be Asia's first reincarnation of Nazi Germany. So I'd rather be on the side of the Fuhrer on this one, than be with the Jews in one of our modern gas chambers.
7. Because Davao. I have been to Davao a couple of times and yes my smartphone was safe even when I used it aboard jeepneys and while walking the streets. And yes, even if the numbers presented by the Duterte campaign are accurate and not #MadeinChina like his endorsements from the Pope and President Obama, he would be able to run the Philippines like he did Davao. Because we all know that Philippines = Davao. It's the same size, the Philippines is not geographically and culturally fragmented and they have the same level of complexity.
There's really something about the kind of people that Duterte attracts. Take a look at this Facebook post:
Talia Ruiz | Facebook
Sample:
Like the OP, I've never seen supporters of other candidates been this rabid and downright bastos.
Also, as I was typing this, I saw on the news the ff exchange:
Digong: eh yang si Mar bayot yan eh. Di niya kaya. Ako kaya ko, lalaki ako eh. Di ako takot pumatay at mamatay. Subukan nila ko.
Mar: Hanggang diyan nalang ba talaga Digong? Paninira at name-calling?
So far I haven't seen how exactly Duterte will execute his plan to eradicate crime and corruption. All supporters just say, "basta, kaya ni Digong yan. Nagawa niya sa Davao eh". The very same Davao that leads the country in counts of corruption.
I honestly want to have a proper discussion with a Duterte supporter.
