clear ko lang bro, I did not say a general statement in my previous post that people from the north are all Marcos loyalist. To answer your question, AFAIK the survey conducted which was commissioned by ABS did not specify the geographic area, where Marcos got number of votes in MM unlike in presidential candidate's Poe leads in MM & the rest of Luzon 30% and 32% respectively against presidential aspirants.

Bakit ganito mga duts fanatic? When it was binay who were asked with a hard question and had a hard time answering by a UPLB student. Tuwang-tuwang lahat. When it was duts who couldn't back up his motherhood statement. Naging cyber bully na sila. [emoji23]

If your candidate can't back up and give concrete answer sa mga promises niya. That's on him.

I think meron clarification na inilabas yung organizers on what really transpired and among others:

    1. The event started late because the speaker arrived late by an hour.

    2. The speech took too long and there was already a beeline to the mic for the Q&A.

    3. Duterte was taking too long in answering ("paligoy-ligoy" and joking around). Some of the questioneers were already getting exasperated.

    4. Duterte wanted to go home, yes it was he who wanted to end the forum early, despite him being the one who was late. The organizers begged for him to stay since there were still a lot who wanted to ask.

    5. Yes the student made a mistake with the word "compensate" but its minor (even US presidents like GWB confuse words). But it was Digong who was taking too long in answering the question directly kaya napabulalas na yung student na "pakisagot na po para makauwi na kayo", which tama naman since si Digong ang kating-kati na umalis.

It's too bad that Rappler showed a spiced together video and unfortunately its now the poor student who is getting bullied. Rappler should issue an apology and release the whole video of the event.

Either way the student should not have done that. Bastos talaga yung pagkakasabi.

[emoji23]

Honestly, at first gusto sana si Digong, pero over time I realized he has no vision beyond "crime-fighting". Even my wife sees nothing in him and she's also from Cebu. It started with his dilly-dallying on whther to run or not. Next his plans to scrap math and science in schools. Then his picking fights like a schoolyard bully against other candidates. Then there's this weird plan to scrap the AFP Modernization Plans, and go to the Spratlys in a jetski and simply ask the Chinese the leave. Maybe his "sanggano" antics works for local elections and city hall but I doubt that will work in Malacanan, Beijing or Washington.

Sayang talaga... Habang tumatagal puro nonsense ang lumalabas sa bunganga niya... Eh ang problema sino ba ang ok sa mga kumakandidato? Parang wala kasi... Si miriam sana kaso parang di na niya kaya eh.

That his tune changes every other week... (remember when he was urging people to vote for Binay so Roxas wouldn't win? And now that he's in the middle of the campaign, he's finally calling out Binay for corruption?) ...is not a good sign. Both Duterte and Poe seem to be playing to the audience on popular issues. The advantage for Poe is that at least she's consistent.

    -

Miriam has lost it. In the past, she impressed me with her independence... during her time as judge, she was one of the few in the courts who went against Marcos (even joking that she knew that she was too young and prominent for the regime to have assassinated).

During her tenure at Immigration and in the DAR, she did an exceptional job, and likewise stood up against Cory on the issue of Hacienda Luisita. She has taken, at times, the unpopular stand, based on what is right and legal (as in the CJ Corona case).

But... that she is acting now as a Martial Law apologist, after her criticism of Martial Law and what it had become, just for the political accomodation of having Bongbong as a running mate... Feh. She's lost it.

    -

So far, I don't see any of the presidentiables as presidentiable.

A lot of the next President's effectiveness will have to do with their Vice and their Cabinet. I'm thinking Cayetano or Robredo should win, though I doubt either could beat Bong or Chiz.

Bong, I think, is the more effective legislator of the two... but there will always be some distrust there because of his family, and because he flatly denies that there was anything wrong with his dad.

So... we're looking at a possible Poe-Chiz win... or maybe Duterte-Chiz (I think he has more momentum than Binay, who will be facing monumental PR and legal attacks) or Duterte-Bong... eh... we're screwed.
