    From Philstar:

    Headlines | Philstar Mobile

The bill endorsed by the committee on ways and means calls for the imposition of an initial P3 tax on diesel.
The levy would increase by P2 to P5 on Jan. 1, 2018 and to P6 starting on Jan. 1, 2019.
At present, there is no excise tax on diesel.
The measure would also increase the tax on lubricating oils and greases, waxes, regular gasoline, leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline and aviation gas to a uniform P7 per liter, going up to P9 in 2018 and P10 in 2019.
The present tax on these products ranges from P3.50 to P5.35.
Recipe for inflation. To those who argue the decrease in income tax for the lower brackets will somehow make up for this, I dare you to compare today's prices to the next few years'.

I will tax diesel mga 6 to 9pesos.

    Gas 1peso

Tapos super baba tax para maencourage buy more hybrid and pure electric...Kahit gawin lang muna evening/dessert car.....

Hindi ba mga kasamahan at katropa ni Digong sa pangunguna ni Cayetano ang nagpatalsik kay Gina?

    What a big Trapo!

Exactly. His support for Gina Lopez was mere lip service.
I bet even if Duterte assumes DENR Sec. post, he cannot do what Gina called (did).

the funny thing is lopez is accusing manny zamora & his brothers of undermining the d30 gov't by being the ringleader/s of the movement to deny her the denr leadership when everybody knows that the zamora clan is one of the biggest, if not the biggest financier of duterte's presidency. so if duterte was forced to choose between the 2 oligarch families, no doubt gina and the lopezes would be thrown to the wayside

^^ And this administration is anti-oligarch and pro-poor?

Meantime, tsikot members who belong to the mid to upper class are enjoying the ride. Lower taxes, investment opportunities and less threat from drug addicts. Whattalyf!

Abangan.

kaninong admin ba noong sobra lakas ng piso

    remember USDPHP=40?

that was when foreign capital left the developed world and flowed into emerging markets like the Phils.

that massive inflow of foreign capital drove up php

that money went into our stock market

so it's not entirely the credit of the president at the time na tumaas ang psei

a lot of the credit goes to the US central bank for keeping interest rates at zero and printing money in response to the 2008 financial crisis
