we have been paying more tax for diesel fuel than for gasoline, for many years now. it's a political decision.
in other places, diesel fuel has a higher tax than gasoline.
but if increasing tax on diesel would result in cleaner air and less traffic...

Let's forget the proposed additional tax on sugar. 😅

The tax on sugar hindi ako agree. Sugar is for us to taste and have a life. Just dont overdo it.

I want to see sa road more fj cruisers, ford explorer. Or even better if dumami na choices and affordable electric vehicle.

I'll play Captain Obvious for our best and brightest, who seem to have a limited understanding of economics. New taxes on diesel will have a snowball effect on the prices of everything and slow down economic growth. It is a basic input to practically everything. Using gasoline in lieu of diesel for commercial and industrial applications will increase fuel consumption and cost dramatically. All of which will be passed down to the consumer. Yes, even you tards.

Also we should start testing for NOx, not just PM.

Go ahead and tax diesel. Then we will really see "change is coming" at Malacanan.

Kumusta kaya lately ang tourist arrivals since june?

My swiss friend who arrived recently told me this am that our country was getting bad press back in his homeland. Apparently the trash talking the president has been doing against traditional western friends is affecting the perception of his countrymen.

Corollarily, i wonder if chinese tourists and bookings have increased since d30's beijing trip a week ago

to be or not to be, that always confuses me!

It's bad as far as Australians are concerned. Have a couple of Aussie clients who are looking to divest from their investments here. They're selling off their properties and are slowly winding down operations. They're looking at transferring to Vietnam or Myanmar.
