Senate Justice Committee Hearing on EJK just ended up in indefinite suspension thanks to the good cop / bad cop routine of Cayetano / Pacquiao on Gordon. Hilong talilong, flip-flop, na si Gordon sa tandem ng dalawang ito. Ultimately, Filipino public is the loser. Sad.

I don't get what those 3 are angry about. So what if Matobato has a pending case making him un-credible? In fact that just makes his accusations plausible, making him privy to what is going on. The DOJ and Congress has convicted drug lords as its own witnesses and they believe them.

It looks to me that Sen. Gordon is just waiting for the "right opportunity" to come to end the hearing. When he got rebuffed by Sen. Trillanes, he changed his accusation of material misrepresentation.

You realize that the article implied vested interests by the father of the man taking credit for the quick completion of said project, right -- the same guy handpicked by Duterte, a guy who has absolutely zero experience in public works?

If anything, Duterte should have made sure none of the Villars held any position in the DPWH. But...iba ang nangyari.

In any case, you do have a point, it happened during P-noy's watch, he shouldbe held liable.

I don't really understand what the fuss was all about too. Seems to me Gordon was making a mountain out of a molehill. Now whether it was intentional or not on Dick's part to make that kind of a public scene (he could've called for a suspension to discuss the matter privately among themselves you know), the Pacquiao/Cayetano et. al. team saw it as another opportunity to call for the scuttling of the hearings, and to that end, they sort of suceeded.

Unfortunately, since one side has already decided any form of violence is acceptable as long as their goals are met, it's a rather lopsided battle.
