Last i heard, the DBM has said that it is not possible...they will stagger the pay raise in 2017 and 2018, so i guess in effect 50% increase per year.

It's funny, I remember him making that speech about oligarchs. I think it was in Baguio or somewhere in Benguet. While Gina Lopez was there.

I don't know why he handpicked Bobby Ongpin while conveniently ignoring he fact that his two cabinet members, Mark and Gina, arguably belonging to families with oligarchs are appointed to posts clearly with huge conflicts of interest with their family businesses.

I agree with the comment of Baludoy; normally Ateneo tempers on making such statements through such venues however the situation is one that is already critical in our society today. What Ateneo and La Salle is not a political stance, but one that is humane; Although we know even if it invites them (the schools) to open remarks from that person in power (remember, may hangganan yan).

I'm still disappointed at the comments/stance of other Ateneans (well, I'm assuming they are) though. They're the ones who appear to be politicizing it.
