pero if that's the only change you wanna see

then i understand why you want change -- mas mabuti mamuno mga admu alumni na walang promdi accent

Corruption will always be present in the phil gov't as long as we allow people who can be influenced by money to vote. These people would rather vote for a corrupt official knowing they will get money from them than a supposedly honest one.

How do you think the people and companies plan to recuperate the millions/billions they will invest in the winning candidate?
Pass it of as deduction? donation? Maybe for those big conglomerates who earns Billions. But what about those Multimillionaires who helped the candidate and who plan to take advantage of the winning candidate? A lucrative position in the gov't? A big budget project?

We had Cory for 6 year and Pnoy for another 6 years yet corruption is still prevalent in the country. Surveys claim that corruption index was better during Pnoy term but as any layman out there during those time and they will tell you differently.

Utang na loob or not, what's wrong with ABS CBN getting its franchise back?

If they get it back. It doesn't always have to mean utang na loob. Maybe because it's the right thing.

And what are the changes that you have seen then? Probably it will enlighten me if you start educating me.

Btw, I'm promdi and have a thicker accent than digong. I graduated in Cebu and probably could not pass the entrance exams that ADMU, UP, La Salle or other elite universities require for enrollment.

It will change if non-voters like you start exercising their right of suffrage. There are millions of unregistered citizens out there.

    in my opinion,
it would have been more profitable for all, had the station been penalized for its perceived shortcomings, and allowed to function afterward.
that way, income and other taxes will be collected, folks would not have to be layed off, and i will have a choice of one more radio station to keep me entertained.
    heh heh.

Agree on the cycle of corruption which is unfortunately one of the evils in politics. But the bigger picture is - do you want the type of leadership of this admin to continue?

i'm only using ABSCBN as a possible example of repaying financial/material support during campaign

who knows what privileges the yellow tycoons lost during this admin (privileges diverted to davao elite)

syempre ung mga nawalang privileges ibabalik sa yellow tycoons pag nanalo si leni

    you: so you want continuity?

me: magkakaroon parin ng utang na loob si leni sa oligarchy so nothing really changes... only the oligarchs change -- from davao elites back to manila elites... so the change you guys are pushing for will really just be bisaya leaders to back manila leaders

Extra money din ito. After all, di mo naman kailangan iboto yung sinungalin na anak ng magnanakaw pagkatapos.

I think there is a flaw to your statement. Why would a pure blooded cebuano like me and a graduate of a cebu university prefer manila leaders or admu graduate with elite accent?

Corruption exists kasi may corrupt.

We want to elect better leaders and educate the electorate. Kaso yung isa, dahil hindi siya ang better leader, niloloko ang electorate by revisionism and faking his credentials.

    i don't know

    i don't know you

if i knew you i can analyze you and explain it

based lang dito sa forum you're a corporate guy working in bgc

you mentioned in a post several pages ago your siblings or kamaganak are dds and you're wondering why you're different

based on that limited info about you, ang explanation ko diyan is you're more westernized, more cosmopolitan than your dds kin

reason why you dislike du30 so much is coz he goes against your westernized values

you're a rappler type of person
