Kelan nga ba nag start ang OFW phenomenon? Was it the late 70s yung sa middle east? What I remember was the 80s yung Japanese entertainers.

By this time retired na mga yan.

the iran iraq war was in the early 80's.
I am sure mahirap makapasok diyan sa mga bansa na under war declaration.
But i remember in the 80's it was Saudi that was the major point of OFWs.
that was why in the 80's tagalog movie you will see OFW coming home with loads of Gold jewelry dahil galing saudi. yumaman.

sa lahat ng #kakampink caravans kanina sa iba't - ibang parte ng pinas, dito ako pinaka-nagulat kasi digos city is the ancestral town of the dutertes. and when i was living down south, ito talaga ang bantayog at bastion nila. ang tatapang nila ha...i'm impressed.
