Since June 2016, Duterte has made it clear that he thinks the answer to any big problem is more Duterte. In keeping with this foundational view, he plans to seek the vice presidency in 2022, when his term ends.

Duterte's dynastic ploy is a dismal omen for Philippine economy -

Bong Go is like Zandra who vowed that she will never leave Zardos no matter what. Kaso di naman mala Zardos ang itsura nung amo ni B.G., more of a beast fighter.

Duterte's latest quote: 'I will run as VP; things are clear now' — Roque | Manila Bulletin

    My personal theory.

Next Congress will have no choice but to "Amend" the constitution to prevent the next President from running as VP (or any National post)

I'm personally against Duterte, but I also hate the fact that the opposition always win during elections.

Some "continuity" would be nice, sadly that means another President from the South.

Post-EDSA '86, only in 1992 did an endorsed presidentiable win the election (Ramos by Cory). After that each president-elect was an outsider (with the exception of GMA in 2004).

    exactly.

We need continuity. 6 years is too short for a president. Good or bad, we have to stick with the decision we made in the previous election.

Imagine what will happen to DU30's unfinished projects if his endorsed candidate does not win next year.

If Mar won, I'm sure the Dalian (MRT) trains would be running now (sorry, its the only PNOY project I can think of)

(I always use this as an example)
GMA has a train (with the Chinese)
PNOY has a train (with the Japanese)
    DU30 has a subway

Do you really think that Subway will reach NAIA if an opposition wins in 2022?

our lawmakers should write clearer laws, so as to avoid confusion and argumentation.

AFAIK some of those Dalian trains where being used in the MRT during this current administrations term.
Actually most succeeding presidents would usually credit grab most Big ticket/infra projects started by the previous administration.
It was only PNOY that i know of that cancelled more beneficial projects done by his predecessor.

As long as the next president knows the value of the infra/big ticket projects chances are it won't be stopped and he/she would most likely even credit grab in its completion.

    i wonder,
meron na bang Presidente na nagpasalamat sa previous President, for the gifts his administration are reaping because of the previous adminstration's foresight?
