Mali din ‘yon (That is wrong) because even in the decision itself, the Comelec points out that in fact a special law was passed to penalize failure to file ITR,” he said.

Jimenez was clarifying a portion of the Comelec First Division’s resolution on the disqualification cases against presidential candidate Marcos Jr. which reads that “the failure to file tax returns is not inherently wrong in the absence of a law punishing it.”

so bottom line is ..... failure to file ITR is against the law, so as failure to pay your taxes ....

Nagka-tumbling tumbling na si Jimenez sa pagpapaliwanag na paikot-ikot lang naman.

Sa haba-haba ng sinabi... lumalabas pa rin na hindi pala kasalanan ang magbayad ng tax and/or mag-file ng ITR.

So ano yung pananakot ng BIR noong kami pa nagpa-file ng ITR kung wala naman palang consequence kung di ka man mag-file?
Aba eh dapat magsalita ang BIR ngayon kung tama nga ba yung desisyon na yun ni Comelec or mali.
