Is your City a matic? Not sure lang with the City, but in some cars the dipstick for the ATF is a bit low. If the disptick is loose or gets loose from the floodwater, water may enter and mix with the ATF. Check if this was inabot. If you suspect inabot, tapos loose pa yung dipstick, have the ATF changed na rin.

When other cars crowd you, pull aside. Don't take that risk, let them go ahead and laugh at them if they get stuck.

The smoke from your hood is normal, that's your exhaust manifold going from red-hot to ice-cold in seconds.

If it's AT, it's possible that the fluid may have been polluted, otherwise, one of your sensors may have been compromised by running through water. There could be the odd electrical problem, too, from corrosion and wiring degradation.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

guys ako rn patulong, just experienced going thru flood na mejo malalim, i think almost the entire tire was under water. after crossing i realized na everytime i release the clutch, the car would vibrate (pa kadyot-kadyot yung takbo before running smoothly). my car's a ford lynx '04, is it possible na nabasa yung clutch disc? yung isa ko kac kotse had clutch problems when releasing, i had its clutch disc, plate n release bearing replaced to solve it. btw, the vibrations are hard especially in 1st gear from full stop, but disappears when the clutch is fully released, also the vibrations are getting weaker from the day i crossed the flood. any suggestions? i'm thinking the vibrations would go away by the next day, only slight vibrations are left now. its been 2 days from crossing. tnks

Mukhang nabasa lang ang clutch. Try to use it for a few more days. Baka my nakapasok na contaminants sa clutch housing (mud, etc.).

You are not supposed to step on the clutch when crossing water (unless you had to stop in the middle).

Old wives' tail lang yung tapak sa clutch and high rev sa tubig. Most cars wil happily idle even with the tailpipe underwater. Nakakaba lang sa una.

    visual inspection.

once you're okay with the visual inspection, i'd say you better check the brakes by removing the tires on all four corners. especially the rear drum brakes (where applicable). clean and inspect.

also, right after lumusong sa baha, try to check if you have brakes. dalasan lang ang tapak, pero yung smooth lang hindi abrupt para di mabigla ang nasa likod o kasunod mong sasakyan. pag nagpark, hanap agad nang kalso, then release the parking brake para di mag-lock kinabukasan.
