    CVT, + 1 on this. Mas satisfying mapatakbo like new ang mga sasakayan na luma (lalo na lampas 10 years old). It takes patience and passion to have the motor running, so to speak. Kaya kay rjburgos, kahit na magastos at nakakapagod ang restoration process, kapit lang kapatid. The drive will be better once you've raised the van back to life. Nice ride by the way. cool color and mags.

    *aijie28 - pwede naman...kaya lang mas mahal..di natin kailangan kasi kaya naman ang lower octane without pinging. yung nginig ng idling mo baka hindi lang maayus yung pagkakaadjust ng A/F mixture screw for smooth idling kahit 600-800rpm plus yung idle stop screw for idle speed.

    *cvt - i think the reason why my hesitation is beacuse iba nga combustion rate from flame front ng higher octane and since walang feedback ang engine natin wala syang adjustment na gagawin sa timing pag ibang octane rating ng gas ang nai-feed sa engine. iba ang sunog..so kailangan pa rin natin mag adjust ng konti sa ignition timing to maximize the energy from higher octane rating..

    *vanityq - sakin din ngayon medyo maganit na accelerator ko...di rin agad bumababa..baklasin ko sa weekend yung cable para nilinis at ilubricate.
    problema yan body number mo pag nagparehistro ka na.

    Problema iyan bro kapag nagparehistro ka... Ngayon, pati sa emissions test, tinitignan ang chassis and engine numbers, just like what I learned recently dahil this month ang rehistro ko....

    Sa akin, since nabili ko ito a little over a year old,- may acid(?) etch ito... Pero, ayos naman siya...

    hi guys....
    ask ko lang if how to change speedometer cable ng vanette....when i was testing the van medyo hinataw ko then around 120kmh biglang bumagsak ang speedometer ko....i think nabigla yata since months siyan di naitakbo...another problem and how much kaya speed cable ng vanette...
    its been a long journey for my vanette and lumalabas na unti unti ang mga problema.....pero manageable pa naman...i need CARBS....para sumaya ako hehehe....also how much repair kit ng power steering may oil leak kasi din another fixing up to do...

    Ei rjburgos...kung mag-change ka ng speedometer cable, you have to remove the whole instrumentation panel. I would also suggest na kung mabaklas mo na yung buong instrumentation panel, eh, linisin mo na rin yung face ng panel gauges at yung pointer, pati na rin yung mga peanut bulbs. Kung may mabili kang 5w na peanut bulb, mas maganda (3w yata yung stock). Wag mong kalimutang i-lubricate yung cable bago mo ikabit sa speedometer all the way sa transmission.
    Di mo pa rin ba napaayos yung carb mo? Di ba kayang gawin yan sa Kamuning?

    CVT, yung Petron Blaze ay 97 octane. Kung gagamit ka nun, kelangang i-advance mo pa yung ignition timing mo ng +1 or +2. Ang standard ignition timing sa Z20 ay 5 degrees BTDC. Habang tumataas ang octane, ay tataas din and degrees BTDC. Kung gagamit ka ng Xtra unleaded na may 93+ octane or XCS 95 octane, steady ka na lang sa 5 degrees. Pwede ka ring mag-advance or retard pero paisa-isang degree lang, depende kung nagto-tope sya.

    baka natanggal lang sa likod ng panel yung speedo cable mo...bihira maputol yan kasi made of steel. sa power steering gearbox, 2k ang kit at 800 ang labor.

    Walandyo,- dito ako bilib,- mukhang gumagamit pa rin kayo ng timing light....

    Thanks for the insight bro... Advance ang timing ko definitely, pero by how many deg,- hindi ko alam...

    Oido lang kasi ang aking adjustment... :twak:

    yup... i think nabaklas lang yata ang cable....since nung pinunturahan kasi binaklas ang dashboard at intrument panel di siguro maganda ang pagkabalik ng cable...well bumili nako replacement cable just in case 850 lang naman kaso mga tinatamad ang mga mekaniko since matinding baklasin ang trabaho...got na din orig nissan repair kit ng gearbox ng power steering......thanks for the advise guys......the carbs di madali ng kamuning m2m carb specialist....may play talaga daw even the other mechanic said the same thing...back to the drawing board again...talked to a machine shop in pasay tabi ng advance nissan they said they can repair it by building up the loose linkage they understood the sira daw since marami silang ginawan na same case daw..............well trial and error talaga mag restore ng kotse...

    Yung engine mo ba ay meron pa bang ignition timing scale (ito yung guide kapag ginamitan ng timing light)? Sa akin kasi wala na, kapa-kapa na lang..di naibalik nung mekaniko sa standard na setting between camshaft and crankshaft relation. Inadvance ko na lang ng todo yung distributor.

    Mayroon pa bro, at nababasa pa....

    Iyon nga lang, kapa-kapa(oido) rin ang timing habang iniikot ko ang distributor.... Pag medyo pino na ang takbo ng makina at hindi naman at the point na parang mamamatay ito, medyo tatadyakan ko ang silinyador at kung maganda ang response, ipapako ko muna rito... Tapos, test drive.

    Original pa ang lahat sa makina at hindi pa ito nabubuksan....

    Palit lang ng contact point, condenser at spark plugs (at langis) plus linis ng contacts ng rotor at distributor cap....ang maintenance ko so far.... Okay pa naman ang aking distributor shaft,- hindi pa siya bilog....

    I just had may clutch fan installed. ang laki ng diperensa sa takbo kaysa dati...tumahimik at lumakas pa ang hatak! Balak kong ibyahe sa baguio sa katapusan para masubok ng husto

    anu nga po pala ang size ng ating radiator at anung size pala yung kay shawskie balak ng mom ko hindi umuwi this aug. pero papagawa yung VAN balak ko kasi palagay muna ng clutch fan then radiator tapos palagay ng thermostat pagawa ng aircon then papasilip yung mga seal ng van sana hindi compressor kasi ganda naman ng buga

    just have my a/c system serviced....well busted compressor daw but dinala ko sa evangelista they overhauled it and ayos na ulit buga...bought 2 set of aux fan pinabago ko na fan sa condenser unit surplus at 650 *. well sana pag leak test ay wala sana leak ang condenser at evaporator para di na gumastos pa ulit.....will bring on monday sa carb speacialist in pasay to repair it...the mekaniko will pull down the carb and will have it machined ang may "play" na fly lingkage then hopefully my problems will be solved...the estimate cost for pull-down, O/H, machine works and tune up timing would be 3k....still my carbs are a chicken or egg situation....trial error to make it perfect...besides the carbs everything seems to be ok....if magawa ang carbs ko next will be putting a LPG system at medyo pataas na ulit prices ng fuel.....2 weeks have passed by and a lot of my time has been focused on my project...will have to get back to work full time naman next week.....
