April 10th, 2018 12:01 AM #23based on my experience with my late 90s sentra, and my 2003 lancer,
i'd recommend the nissan.
i found it, easier to fix and maintain.
if i may,
the exalta certainly looks nice to me, as well.
but if TS can get a more recent sentra, it will probably be even easier to fix and maintain.
the exalta kasi, was when yulon of taiwan controlled the local nissan. some authors have said that the taiwanese influence resulted in certain quirks in the car.Last edited by dr. d; April 10th, 2018 at 12:16 AM.

The 2002 Nissan Exalta is part of the Grandeur series. It is the first Sentra models with the N16 platform. They were initially released late 2011. The same platform was used by NissanPH until 2010 and it was continually put on sale even up to 2012 because the Sentra B16 platform (2010-2012) did not sell well locally.

October 26th, 2019 08:22 AM #28Hello po mga Sir Experts! Newbie here. Planning to buy second hand Nissan sedan model 2000-2005 because of limited budget. Gusto ko lang po malaman kung good buy pa din po ang Nissan Sentra. Hindi naman po pang everyday use. Pag kasama lang family ko like every weekends sa mall, parang ganun lang po.
Please give me advices. SALAMAT NG MARAMI PO!

It is repairable. But as oj88 mentioned, it is messy (when repaired) and best used as a last resort.
