totoo yan. iba nga mga stolen

but there are some that are from wrecked, bullet ridden (translation: na ambush) or abandoned vehicles. the ones where the insurance company has paid off the owner already and cant do anything with the vehicle except to sell it to any interested surplus auto shops or even individual. kung galing lang dito at okay naman ang piseya, legal naman ito and siguro walang problema.

i remember way back that in a company i worked for, they actually buy surplus aircrafts and use the parts as spare parts for their own fleet. hindi ko nalang sasabihin kasi some of their planes carry passengers pa naman. but one thing for sure, i have never ridden any of their passenger carrying planes

I've seen several wrecked PAtrols already sa shops before (ambush included)... yung isa belonged to a mayor in Mindoro, na ambush daw then the car fell off a ravine and turned turtle.

I think i know that Patrol... it was parked on the 3rd floor of the bank i work at. "G" yung start ng plate if my memory serves me right.

Try calling this number: 4142463 to see if they carry the part (or can source), the name of the shop is Autospecs.
vinj, yup it probably is. will check out autospecs for the flares. thanks sir!

sir boybi, question po...planning on changing my tires also. how big can i go for a GU Patrol with 16" rims and stock suspension - no modification/lift whatsoever. something that won't rub on the chassis(tama ba) and won't extend beyond the fenders, such that di pa rin tatalsik everywhere ang mga putik.

i'm thinking of 275/75R16...would this fit without problems, without lift?

285/75R16 will fit without any problems. also 305/70R16 will fit. saw one with 35" tires yu lang looks lowered ang patrol. as long as you retain the stock wheels the tires wont go outside of the flares.

But would steering be compromised compared to the stock 265/70R16? If so, do you think it would be significant? I'd like to get something bigger than the stock tires, but without compromising too much of the steering convenience.

steering, you will hardly notice the difference in the steering effort in turning the tires. but you will feel more confident handling corners with the wider tires.

275/75R16 will fit without any problems you mentioned. mine is 285/75R16 without any modifications on my rig.

thanks! glad to know that. anyone knows the current prices for (Bridgestone/Michelin/Yokohama/BFG/etc.) All-Terrain 275/75R16, 285/75R16 & 265/70R16 tires? i'll be asking around the usual tire shops but would like to hear from you guys first...just in case you also have suggestions which shops to go to for best deals. i've checked the other tire threads as well, but couldn't get specific info i'm looking for.

    many thanks again!

sa mga mayroong old look bumper ng patrol GU, nasubukan na ba ninyong lagyan ng maliit na foglamps yung maliit na rectangular grill sa front bumper?

may plano kasi akong lagyan ng foglamps yun for extra aid in night driving

ayoko munang mag lagay ng bull bar or malaking frong foglamps na naka patong sa bumper and located right behind the front grill

111prez, are you referring to the part on both sides of the plate number? marami na akong nakitang naglalagay ng auxillary lamps dun, yung square lamps, swak na swak dun.

boybi -- hindi doon. i am referring to the bumper itself, yung malapit sa wheel well and fender. its that small rectangle with the horizontal grills. gusto ko sanang lagyan doon

yep may nakita na rin akong mga auxiliary lamps linagay sa lugar malapit sa plate number pero parang hindi ko kursunada
