Hi, how is the fuel consumption of the np300 el calibre a/t? Edsa rush hour traffic. Planning to use it as a daily drive from qc to makati. Thank you in advance.

i'm averaging 500+/- km per 1000 worth of shell fuel save diesel (thats around 37 liters iirc). daily bulacan-makati-bulacan grind. nlex and edsa route (or the innards of qc scout area to bypass the traffic from q.ave to santolan).

Medyo confusing kasi ung entry level trim and mid level na Calibre. I think kung EL model meron ABS.
Pero we bought an NP300 Navara EL Calibre M/T for 1,075,000 and it has ABS. What I know is the M/T Calibre (priced at 941,000) doesn't have ABS.
Checked the spec sheet and that is what's reflected.

I love the M/T EL Calibre we have. Sulit siya for below 1.1M na pickup.

I was actually looking at the Calibre with my brother for his business as he was considering a pickup truck. I asked the SA about the difference between the EL Calibre and Calibre and his answer was mainly cosmetic, foglamps, side mirror light etc. Nothing essential when he explained it.

I asked for a brochure for reference and review so I can sit down with my brother properly and when we reviewed it, I was shocked that the Calibre doesn't have ABS or airbags which is a big no-no for me. The Hilux E at least has it , Seatbelts also don't appear to have pretensioner for the Calibre.

1. acceleration from 1st gear to 3rd gear is a bit slow, feeling rough on the gas pedal at 2000 RPM.
2. Humming sound near the front wheels
3. I change my tires to 265 70 16..better ride compare to the OEM.

agree with #1. malata below 2k rpm, tapos pag naman sumipa yung power mabibigla ka.

haven't experienced #2, although what i'm hearing is some mild rattling on rough/uneven pavement. parang sa steering column daw yun or some hose na tumatama somewhere. haven't had time to bring it in to be checked though.

anong tires pinalit mo sir?

After 800km nawala yung rough acceleration, now the engine reving up smoothly to 2,000 rpm. Changed my tires to Falken Wildpeak HT.

Feeling disappointed with my SA from Nissan Shaw. Also I feel naive/uto-uto din Sabi nya na pwede daw ako mamili ng day of coding for my plate number. I chose 3 or 4 for Tuesday. After 1 year (yes it took that long to have a plate number. Some of you probably took longer) I got my plate number and it's coded on a Friday. We only have 2 cars and both are coded on a Friday. Haay. Wala naman problema kung hindi ako pwede pumili ng coding. Sana lang di nako sinabihan na pwedeng mamili para lang makabenta ng Navara. Can't believe I fell for a sales talk 😕

Anyway, those experiencing a grinding sound sa steering wheel (parang "kssshhh ksshhh" na tunog), I have it too. Very annoying. Anyone know what it is? I drive an EL Calibre MT, 1 year old. Thanks.

Oo bro sabi ko wag lang thursday kasi day off ko yun at friday kasi yun ang kadalasang araw na niluluwas papuntang manila. Mang iistorbo pa tuloy ako ng kapamilya para makihiram/makipalit ng auto pag luluwas friday haha.

wala sir. integrated sa headlights ng VL model yung DRL eh. although may nagre retrofit nyan. or if you can spare the cash, new VL headlights cost around 30k ata without installation pa.

since nasa Pinas tayo.. its who you know, not what you know hehe (or actually, who the dealer knows sa LTO)

the good folks at Nissan North Edsa were able to grant my request for plate # ending in 8. and got my plates after 2.5 months, so not too bad considering i know folks that still dont have their license plates 1 year on.

sorry sir not sure sa TPMS.

regarding sa heavy payload, nakargahan ko na minsan ng tiles around 750kg lahat. bumaba yung likod pero hindi naman sagad. although pag tumatakbo na medyo floaty na sya. pero ok pa din naman ang engine response at braking power.

sa NP300? i've had mine for a year now, 15k on the clock. EL Calibre AT model.

likes:
nice ride compared to other pickups
spacious even at the back
cool AC
engine power
7AT gearbox
ok FC specially if highway driven a lot
so far PMS has been cheap

dislikes:
heavyish and slow steering
doesn't fit on some tight parking spaces
kinda bare interior/accessories
i feel like the paint scratches too easily
shape of the front seats bothers me - parang masyado ako naka yuko

Heavy steering sir? My wife will drive it often, okay lang po kaya yun? But mostly here in province lang sir. Hindi gaano problem yung parking. Anong kulay po sainyo sir? Kung mabilis po magkascratch, white or silver siguro kunin ko? Meron po pala gps navigation or ready na sa gps nav yung HU?
