I have a manual sir and yun headunit nya is only 1din sir sony brand with usb. 4speaker system. Kung d ka naman maselan sa tunog ok na din.
Though i very seldom go to manila. My MID reading in city traffic is 9.8kms/L
I Didn't feel that it is underpowered. Tama lang yun 1.6 sir. Madalas pag ako lang sa biyahe nabibilisan naman po ako sa kanya. D naman po ako nabitin pa sa overtaking. Not overwhelming yun power but it gets the job done. Natalon din naman sir.[emoji4]
Sa aircon sir. It will make you smile during traffic at noontime. [emoji106]

1.2M siguro asking price if marketted here, my opinion lng: Sylphy 1.6DIG turbo seems better than Mazda3 na 1.2m or Altis 2.0 or Focus 2.0.
Fast and the furious Sylphy 😂
When I went to Nissan and saw Sylphys I was impressed with the body and interior. Engines were so so. Now its a complete turn around.
Next turbo compact i think will be the Kimchi cars 2 yrs down the road.

Yeah, sana nga ibenta dito yung 1.6 Turbo but JUT is right, most likely konti lang bibili nito. This is Toyota country afterall. Ang bibili nito most likely mga fans talaga ng Nissan who will keep it for long like 10years at the minimum. Those who don't care too much about resale value because RV is Nissan's waterloo (everyone knows that). You buy this car if you don't want to be noticed by car thieves but still look decent.
Has anyone tried buffing (mirror finish) their aluminum rims? Gusto ko kasi sana ipa-chrome ito but that I'm having second thoughts pa.
Wala ata but it should be an easy upgrade. 1.8V has the XAV63 which is enough but nothing spectacular. If not for the good sound quality, I would've ditched it quickly (and voided the warranty). It doesn't even have bluetooth which isn't a big deal for me since I don't have a use for it at this time (given I have BT headsets, also from Sony). Sony 722 is a cheap upgrade but there are better brands/models out there (kenwood, pioneer). Most come with rear camera already. I asked my agent to provide me free rear camera before I decide to buy so he did. You can perhaps ask the same (plus upgrade to XAV63 or better).
The beauty of Nissan's CVT is its efficiency. It'll transmit the flywheel power to the wheels properly, at any given speed. I think it's the same CVT box that came with the 1.8V so it should have the secondary planetary gearbox which further increases its ratio. It engages around 60-80kmh. You'll notice it because your RPM will suddenly decrease. At that stage, you can just do small quick boosts to maintain speed at 80kmh *1250rpm. 1500rpm should give you around 100kmh. 120kmh would be around 2000rpm.
So you see, this car is more efficient when it's driven fast.Last edited by Horsepower; July 6th, 2015 at 05:00 PM.

At 18100 Kms, my batt suddenly went defective (low voltage). Nagkaroon kasi ng hesitation sa pag-start (when you press the Engine start/stop button) for about two or three times. Good thing, my dad bought a Panasonic 2SM MF batt (to replace his 4 or 6yo Bosch Silver - pero alternator pala prob nya) a few months ago. So I borrowed his batt (which is just stored in its box sa garage) thinking ahead that the casa might not have a battery on stock. Good thing I did kase although under warranty, 2-5 days pa dadating from the central warehouse replacement. So I asked a favor from Nissan North EDSA to temporarily swap the battery I brought kase I don't want the hassle of being towed due to a dead batt. Mr Dennis and Mr Winston obliged cheerfully. Great service from that dealership so my next Nissan will definitely be bought there.
One thing I learned from that experience, gumagana pala talaga yung power management system ng Sentra B17 natin. Accdg to the manual, it will allocate and reserve starting-power when the battery charge drops (due to usage when the engine is off). In this case, kahit due to batt defect, gumana pa rin.
Also, that GS Battery sucks. 1yr palang dead na. Ako nga pala ang 2nd case sa dealer na nasira agad batt kahit all-stock.
Anyone else got B17 issues? Been seeing quite a lot of new releases lately (no plate yet).
Eventually, I went back to stock tire pressure (F33-R30). Didn't really see any fuel mileage gains in city driving. Siguro try ko ulit mag 36-33 pag may out of town trips.

I was reading about this battery issue from the sentra forums 2 months ago. I thought it was a small batch issue. Im surprised you also got it. Hopefully the new battery will last longer.
