just this morning saw a scooter sa skyway, pulis nga lang yun rider kaya nhindi sinita, kaso he cant keep up with the speed limit kaya ang bagal nya kaso nasa fast lane siya

in another point of view, kung i-ban ang truck/bus & jeepney sa NLEX/SLEX, at cars & motorcycles lang ang puwede dumaan, I would gladly welcome the idea!

wag naman cars, kasi pansin ko, mas mababait ang mga private cars sa mga nakamotor lalo na sa high ways, I do appreciate them a lot..., oops, sorry mali ata ang basa ko hehe, so in short commercial vehicles na lang dapat ang ibawal, lalo na ang mga overloading...

since prohibited ang mga sub 400cc bikes sa loob ng expressways, i don't think magiging liable ka kung nasagi mo yung bike. paki clarify nalang mga lawyers ng tsikot. siguro yung tollway operator ang dapat maging liable dahil pinapasok nila sa expressway yung bike?

and since our bike enthusiasts here want to lift the ban on sub 400cc bikes in the expressways, does that mean that tricycles should also be allowed to use the expressways?

ah no, just to let the motorcycles pass through the tollways, on a note, and by testing waters, a usual pasaway rider won't venture in the use of the tollways, and tollway fees will keep these riders from plying th etollways, so i don't think na gano'n karaming bikers ang dadaan sa tollways when they allow sub 400's in... Just my humble opinion.

I'd prefer that motorcycles have a dedicated, barricaded lane in the expressway.

Mahirap kasi sa motorcycle, isang batong maliit lang pwede na syang sumemplang. So mataas chances nya masagasaan in that situation. And paano naman yung makakasagasa diba? kawawa naman.

So i prefer a dedicated, barricaded lane for the bikers. para safe lahat.

knowing that, I have a ticket in contest. The ticket will only cost me 150 pesos but I contested it to know what is the LTO's opinion regarding the matter (the SC decision) so let's wait and see on the 30th of this month (august).

Oo nga, may harang at dedicated lane ang dapat sa mga motorbikes natin sa expressway, parang sa ibang bansa. Takaw aksidente ang mga motorbikes na sharing the same lane as four-wheel vehicles at high speed....

although there is now a supreme court decision which "voids" the (TRB) toll reguLatory board/ pncc, executive order of dpwh which banning the sub 400 cc to use the nlex/slex. but in reality, its still unsafe for small displacement scooters such as dio50cc, or turbo70cc and the likes to use the nlex/slex because of the wind drag caused by bus/large vehicles moving 120 -140 kph ++.
pero kung scooter with higher diplacement such as 400cc, 500cc, 650cc & 850cc like the suzuki burgman, the honda silverwing, yamaha majesty/tmax or piaggio 500cc can pass the slex/nlex. no doubt...

yup.

that's because the one who could impose such a ban is the DOTC.

the DOTC can just reinstate the "Limited Highway" status of the NLEX & SLEX without any glitch and which effectively bans sub 400 cc MCs.
