may nakakalusot talaga.
the sub 400 cc ban imposed on the expressways is illegal so i think that is the reason why some of pncc men allow these bikes to pass.
Actually dito lang sa pilipinas meron ban na ganyan! other countries allow 100ccs, 150 ccs on their expressways...
yan din ang reason kung bakit binoboycott ng mga bikers around the world ang bansa natin.. dahil sa ganyan policies sa expressways.
patulog - tulog kasi mga PNCC Patrol dyan eh kaya daming nakakalusot, imagine may nakasabay ako dyan dati naka bike lang north bound after the Nichols Toll Plaza![]()
ayy ganun???so mali pala yung thought na yun...eheheh..now i know...pero ano kaya ang nangyari sa past na naging dahilan kung bakit banned ang below 400cc bikes??
before kasi... i forgot the year. i believe parade nun at dumating ang isang US president(forgot kung sino!) Since that incident, nabuo yun total ban. Motorcycle enthusiasts petitioned for the lifting of the ban at nagkaroon ng laban sa korte. natalo ang pncc pero di nila totally ni-lift yun ban at nag-limit sila ng 400 cc. actually 500 cc dapat kaso nagkaroon ng renegotiations kaya bumaba sa 400 cc. Ang reason kung bakit hindi inaallow ang below 400 cc is because naniniwala yun dating pncc chairman na ang owner ng mga sub-400 cc bikes are illiterate, walang pera, mga bobo... so in other words eh discriminatory reasons ang dahilan.Originally Posted by umzzzzz
alam ko yung former president ng phil. motorcycle assn. diyan namatay sa SLEX after he was dragged by a trailer truck a year ago. dapat maging eye-opener na yan sa mga kanilang mga nka-motorsiklo.
have tried riding a 200 cc sportsbike sa coastal before, pero di rin ako sinita. afaik, yung 400 cc and below should be enforced sa lahat ng major expressways (coastal, slex, nlex).
whether you are on a bike or in a car... accidents do happen and accidents can be fatal...
I'd rather be on a car than a bike should an accident happen to me.
I've experienced several vehicular accidents already (two of them major) - and the worst of them (car flipped over in the NLEX) only required a few stitches on my head.
that is the reason why riding is not for everybody.... iba ang skills required for riding compared sa driving... never been involved in any accident in my entire life.... di ako naniniwala kasi sa aksidente... its either human error or maintenance failure....
accident is caused by: unsafe practices and unsafe conditions, 90% is caused by the first one. But if you can distinguished a 110cc which is common sa kalye eh mali nga yung ginawa nila kahit convoy sila ng big bikes. Di rin tama yung discrimatory nila sa motorcycles but you can't blame them partly kasi some people ride motorcycles with the helmets on their elbows and nakatsinelas pa yun.
Correct if I'm wrong bike boys, there's no 110cc scooter. Only 50cc, 90cc, 150cc and 400cc and above etc. are available in the market. Maybe it's an underbone motorcycle (110cc).
sa NLEX, I think they do implement it..one time kse may nakita akong tricycle escorted by nlex patrol..cgro ito rin yun isa sa mga reasons kung bkt ayaw nila..
di pa sila nahuhuli sa toll gate? di pa ako nakasabay/nakakita ng nagbabayad ng toll eh ... dapat dun huli sila. may PNCC officer dun di ba?Originally Posted by mazdamazda
Isn't it that small motorcycles are banned from slex/nlex because they can't keep up with the traffic? That was my impression.
I don't think the biking skill and discipline of a majority of the bikers (usually those in the underbones and scooters) we have on the streets now will be safe on the expressways given the kind of drivers we Pinoys are.Originally Posted by badsekktor
No offense meant to our two-wheels friends (beep beep) but just seeing the way a lot of them like to weave in and out in traffic, but don't have the speed and the heft to maintain stability on the expressway (and how majority of the drivers don't give much respect to small bikes on main roads) could mean more accidents. My observation is they're usually fast in accelerating (Arankada) but once the speed builds up (over 70-80kph) wala na rin; unless they're modified internally (not just those loud mufflers).
Di pa tayo handa for those on our expressways IMO. Usually (but not all the time) the bikers i see on expressways are the bigger bikes where usually the riders are trained to ride defensively and with discipline (and in groups).
