December 22nd, 2005 12:53 PM #22pwede na pala below 400cc ngayon - thats good.
i think pncc should not discriminate against small engined bikes/scooters, basta kaya tumakbo ng minimum speed limit (60kph) for the whole duration of the expressway, dapat oks lang. kahit 50cc kayang mag sustain ng ganitong speed.
what they should concentrate on catching are the owner jeeps, trucks, and old cars na 40kph lang ang takbo, yan ang delikado.

ok lang mga bikes sa express, the problem is undiciplined, and uneducated drivers. Ofcourse your margin of error is greatly reduced on a motorcycle...

December 22nd, 2005 01:26 PM #25Motorcycles are fine, but personally I would draw the line on small scooters. 60 km/h and you're that small? Scary yata.
Safety grounds lang. Wala naman ibang mapapala ang PNCC for banning scooters.

December 22nd, 2005 01:38 PM #26syempre di naman lahat ng motorcycles eh dapat papasukin sa expressways...
some of them like pocket bikes or 50 cc scooters will have a hard time keeping up with that speed. pero way above na yun 400 cc limit. a 100 cc motorcycle or scoot can easily leave a stock car behind on a 0-100 kph acceleration. a 150 cc bike can accelerate from 0-100 in about 9-11 seconds and its topspeed without any modifications is about 150 kph, much-much faster than your ordinary 2.5 pajero
about sa safetiness eh mas delikado sa highways compared sa expressways. with those stray dogs, pedestrians, opposing traffic, sideswiping motorists eh mas safer talaga sa expressways. if you want to test the capability if these bikes, why dont you try to gauge your cars with these low displacement bikes para maintindihan nyo. about sa mga weaving in and out na motor sa traffic eh hindi mo magagawa sa expressways yunsince lahat eh mabilis ang takbo unless dumb yun rider. nakikita kong solusyan dyan eh ang proper licensing ng LTO dahil mas delikado kung ang driver ng cage eh incompetent na humawak ng malaking sasakyan.

to those riders na galit sa gobyerno natin coz pinagbabawal sila sa expressways, well experience is the best teacher.

Wala pong 110cc na scooter...merong 100/125/150cc....then 250cc-400cc.
Baka kuliglig yung nakita ng thread starter.
"alam ko yung former president ng phil. motorcycle assn. diyan namatay sa SLEX after he was dragged by a trailer truck a year ago. dapat maging eye-opener na yan sa mga kanilang mga nka-motorsiklo."
Bakit palagi na lang tinitira ang mga bikers....we are here in tsikot site...naging topic na ito dito before and leave those bikers alone. Kotse ang pagusapan nyo dito.
