June 24th, 2011 09:09 PM #1072Definition of "GURU" I found- one who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom, and authority in a certain area, and who uses it to guide others.
So I guess that's why some fellow members here are called rice "GURUS", they seem to know w/o any doubt on what is rice and not. Besides the HUGE number difference on the post stats shown, if you back read along this thread you can clearly see who are the teachers or what others might call gurus.
The only sad thing I notice is the over use of RICE, rice this rice that. Out of it's meaning already.

Ok.
Gawin nalang natin " baduy " instead of RICE.
Baduy kasi can mean a lot of things. Para hindi tayo limited sa definition ng rice. Ok ba?

I guess we need to go back tot he original definition of RICE. According to one Urban Dictionary entry:
a Rice car is used to refer to sports cars of Asian make who have heavily cosmetic modifications and little or no internal modifications.
RICE - stands for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement.
Commonly misunderstood by people who believe any Asian 'done up' sports car is a rice mobile, and used as a negative term.
I guess the American heritage of the term RICE had to incorporate the word Asian in its definition. Still, it could refer to a car of any make pimped up cosmetically but not performance-wise. So a car that pretends to be fast or "race car-like" -- without being so -- by the use of external cosmetic modifications is a RICEy car. A car that has graphic prints on it that are not race-inspired (think cars with anime prints, or artsy stuff) and none of the "racing-related" stuff MAY be cheezy, but not necessarily RICEy.
I think a return to the original meaning and spirit of RICE is in order.
