    Sabi sa casa same lang ang scv. Hindi nila talaga aaminin na may defect. Ako gusto ko na magpalitmkahit hinpi pa bumibigay. Para hindi na turbo diesel ang gagamitin ko. Regular diesel na ulit gagamitin ko. Napansin ko naguumpisa na ulit magsinok yung makina at 15k kms.....

    Umilaw ung engine warning exactly on my garage before stopping the engine. Next morning I start again my MS still the engine warning still there, hindi mawala, I called my SA in casa, they decided to send a technician on my place. Mitsu tech. connect a laptop under my MS steering wheel. Started the engine then the laptop do, diagnosing engine problem. Results was dirty SCV cause daw ng dirty diesel oil. They just clean the SCV and charge me 2500 pesos for there service. Good news until now ok naman, hindi na bumalik yung engine warning.

    Hi Guys.

    I am experiencing a problem in my strada and im thinking na baka scv ang problem.
    At high gear top end, ayaw humatak. naka stock lng sa 3K rpm khet anong apak ko ng accelerator.
    sometimes hahatak, sometimes hindi.
    Could this be a problem on the scv/egr already?
    Casa lng ba dapat ipacheck and ipagawa ito?

    anyone knows alternative auto supply na pagbibilian ng SCV ng strada?
    I believe 7-8K at Casa ito.

    also kung may nkakaalam ng part number.

    SCV eto yung pinalitan ko sa 08 starex crdi ko ...maduming fuel talaga salarin. mas ok siguro dual fuel filter at maagang palitan kahit di pa required ng casa like 40-50kms pa daw

    Strada and Montero SCV is normally open.

    Meaning kung walang electric current nakafully open lang ang SCV.

    Kung nakafull throttle nakaOFF lang ng madalas ang SCV ninyo kaya mas tatagal sya kung lagi kayo hataw.

    Samantala kung palagi kayo nasa traffic or idle lang madalas, todo trabaho SCV ninyo. Kaya possible masira kahit mababa pa milage.

    Strange but ganun talaga. At least hinde prone sa stalling. Yun nga lang baka magulat kayo at magka sudden acceleration lalo na sa auto-tranny. Let say bago pinatay ang makina ni rev ng todo (which is di dapat) so puno ng pressurized fuel ang rail. After few minutes inistart sabay biglang nag kambyo ng hindi nakaapak sa preno. at paandar pa kagad ng aircon. Nag auto increase ng idle speed dahil sa AC. Since mataas ang pressure sa rail na overshoot ang target idle with AC-ON kaya ZOOOOMMM.... Since torquey ang engine, kadyot kagad kaya gulantang ang driver inapakan lalo ang accelerator akala preno.
    Opinion ko lang naman... heheh pero such scenario may not leave a trace. But might be replicated (Maybe)

    Kung lagi kayo sa highway or high rev offroading hindi masyadong nababanat ang normally open na SCV pero possible na bibigay ang pressure limiter ng fuel rail. Kasi high pressure lagi ang rail at possible na todo kayod ang pressure limiter to relief the pressure.

    I suspect na prematurely nagOOPEN ang pressure limiter kaya meron sudden loss ng pressure sa rail at hindi narereach ang target pressure to rev the engine further at higher speed/load.
    Kaya pa check nyo rin ang pressure limiter (yung nakakabit sa dulo ng rail at may return fuel line). Mechanical spring ang pressure limiter maybe hindi yan madetect ng electronic tool. (I think ulet)

    Mali yata understanding mo, ang fail safe position ng SCV ay OPEN. Meaning kapag walang power ang actuator ay open ang SCV. When SCV is open the pressure at the suction of the high pressure pump is low because SCV is open back to the tank and effectively mababa ang rail pressure. So at full throttle SCV is almost closed to deliver higher suction pressure to the high pressure pump and then discharging the highest rail pressure possible.

    Kaya common problem sa SCV ay nag stuck open or partially open kaya nagkakaroon ng low fuel pressure, kaya loss of power at nagkakaroon ng erratic RPM at 2000 RPM.
