Sir I have a primary and secondary fuel filter. I make it a point to bleed it every 2 weeks just to see if any water got in. I always keep the tank full or close to full so there will be no space in the tank for condensation from water vapor in the air. IMO 10Tkm is the longest you can go before changing fuel filters with our diesel here. I've changed as early as every 5Tkm. As someone in this forum said, diesel contamination here has more to do with delivery and storage than the quality of the fuel itself from the plant.

My friend has the 2.5 tdci Ranger and had no SCV issues but the fuel pump itself conked out before 50Tkms. Dang.

I hope the casas do something about the diesel quality/storage/distribution because they'll end up paying for SCV claims anyway

or baka dapat e they need to mitigate their own parts i.e. SCV, crdi engines, etc to adopt/adjust to the dirty diesel dito just like what hyundai is doing. kasi at the end of the day di nila macontrol ang fuel quality but they can do something to the engine parts na controlado nila given na madumi diesel dito sa atin.

based sa mga feedbacks from owners ng toyota and mitsu e talagang may issue yung engine and other parts for did/d4d. and masama pa e di nila inaamin yung issue lagi turo e don sa dumi ng diesel dito. e since alam na nila na madumi ang diesel dito e bat di nila gawan ng paraan don sa parts kesa pabayaan nila yung owners sa issue. kasi sa totoo lang pede naman nila i modify ung parts para maging euro 2 compliant like what hyundai is doing so lahat ng crdi parts nila e modified na for euro 2 kasi euro 2 compliant pa lang ang diesel dito sa pilipinas.

    Galing

Bro - did you feel there was a power problem kaya nireklamo mo ang SCV mo? Or nakita nila ito sa kanilang Computer?

Saan mo nakuha ang unit at saan ka nag pa-service?

    TIA
