The early GLS Sport have 2.5 engines, right? But have the turbo timer and auto start. Nice feature.

3.2 GLS Sport were launched around middle of 2008, right? But they removed the turbo timer and auto start features, to cut down the cost I suppose?

    I hope I'm right.

Anyways, I hardly go above 2k RPM around Makati, so a turbo timer isn't much a necessity. Parking takes me at least 3 minutes, a lot of time to cool down the turbo I guess. Why 3 minutes? It's a tight space and you have to manuever a lot and skills will come into play. No kidding.

I don't have my plate yet, the reason I'm partly hesistant to go to EB's, but as soon as I get them, I'll join you guys.

Normally, if I'm tired I take a cab, but this truck is a great stress reliever. I drive it, it takes the blues away.

Sir Idoy, the GLS Sport had always been a 3.2 liter engine (4m41) and it was launched in the second half of 2007.

The early new stradas GLX and GLS have 2.5 L (4D56) engines and are both 4x4s. They are the 2006-2007 issues if I'm not mistaken.

That could be one reason, but I remember that there were a lot of complaints from the strada owners at that time of the multi-functional alarm system.

The system features keyless entry, auto start, shock and forcible entry sensor, valet park mode, turbo timer function, etc. All features are controlled by the remote control key with different combinations of short and long press of the tri-diamond button and the corresponding park light indicator and siren chirp. It use was so confusing and not user-friendly, so tinanggal nila yung other features sa next year model, AFAIK.

The turbo timer is not really a necessary gadget for city sleekers. A lot share your predicament as far as parking is concern. And the time to park makes up for the cooling period for our turbos.

Tagal talaga ng release ng plate. On the average 2-3 weeks. I hope it's on the 2 weeks side at this time. Meron dyan inabot pa ng mahigit 4 weeks.

+1. But if I may add, the club's friday EBs are another way relieving our stresses.

*Sir Idoy, what Doc Ooba99 stated is absolutely TRUE! to further explain this, The Current Strada was launched on September 2006 at the Bonifacio Global City with the GLS M/T and A/T and the GLX M/T all in 4x4 drivetrains... i was there! and this is the Strada GLS A/T that i had a lot of fun plungging it in mud with:

it was in August 2007, in time for the Phil. International Motorshow when the 3.2 Strada came in the picture and a change of audio headunits happened and changed the wheel/tire package of the GLS Sport in January 2008. Sometime in the middle of this year, a minor mod was accomplished by changing the front corner park lamp from amber to clear and the emblems at the back has been reconfigured. Other than that, i dont see other changes unless MMPC would let me/us know.

This is also true... also well explained by Doc Ooba99.

In addition to this, getting the plate sometimes depend on what you have requested. it will be a whole lot easy if you will let the dealer get any random plate or whatever is available to special requests such as endings, letters and/or number combinations.

in addition to this, i'm Baguio-based and logging in to the Mitsubishi Strada and Strada Club forums, IS (already) my method of stress relief that is very much effective for more than a year already! It works!

LSD - The Hybrid Limited Slip Differential is Standard on the 3.2 GLS Sport M/T and A/T currently. What was funny with the current Brochure (Copyright Feb 2008) is that it didn't indicate any sign of LSD. Prior to answering your querie about it, i confirmed by chat with Fellow BOSB G01. and yes, his (purchased April 2008) Strada 3.2 GLS Sport M/T has the feature. according to him, "Yes, it is. Hybrid LSD is labelled on the differential cover." There is no knob to control to switch to activate since he stated that "it is automatic. It works when it detects wheel spin." Therefore, i conclude that the rear axle is equipped with a hybrid limited-slip differential (LSD) which manages torque transmission on the rear wheels to ensure stability even when one wheel spins. I also believe that the LSD can work effectively with the ABS+EBD safety feature.

I hope this will help you further po... Thanks very much...

i think may electronic immobilizer yung strada. not quite sure though...
try checking sa manual nyo sa 1 section 4(1-4) and sa 4-19 optional lang ba itong immobilizer? or is it built it in our units? pa clarify naman po.

OT yung engine 4d56 sa 2.5 units is it the same engine sa l300/l200/advie?

AFAIK, only the iron block is the same... which is the true essence of the 4D56. The head and other connections and engine components are different to accommodate the DOHC, 16 valve, CRDi, Turbo and Intercooler to what originally produced 72hp to a whoooooping 136hp!

Highest elevation recorded by my Strada's altitude sensor last Tuesday. Also the lowest temperature. Location is a mountaintop beside Halsema Highway.

yup. merong engine immobilizer and strada.

Wala yatang ganun and strada natin.

if yung alarm is yung MMAS (black remote, red mitsu logo as buttons), may built in turbo timer na yan. it is just a matter of activating it through the remote control. wala nang device na ikakabit or kakalikutin.
