sir cj_shih24, no problem if you change mags as long as the iggest that you go will be 17's with a +15 offset and your tires are 265/70r17. pretty much the same size as the gls sport. if you put in bigger tires and/or bigger mags your suspension warranty will be voided. with this in mind, i'd suggest that you keep your stock set until your warranty is voided.... hassle nga lang but at least you'r still able to have the warranty coverage

Hi guys. I'm also a bit of a lurker here. I just want to share some news for future Strada buyers like me. I just came from Mitsubishi Quezon Ave yesterday and one of the agents told me that they're going to have a price increase for their stradas next month. Im not sure if you've heard this. They say its because the Strada has been consistently the pickup of the year.

Anyway, im planning on getting one hopefully by next week. Kaso budget ko pang GL lang. Oh well.. I might just change the wheels and add some accessories to make it look better.

    Have a great day guys.

bro arvin cristi, yun nga ginawa namin nung nagpa first 1000.. hehe! sumakit braso namin ng driver ko.. ang bibigat pa naman ng mga gulong! haha! kokontratahin ko na next time yung vulcanizing malapit dito sa amin, baka pumayag 100pesos per dalawang palitan.. hehe! sigurado every two months for the next 3years may 100pesos syang extra.. hehe!

bro kongsundiam, ang ganda naman nyan paps! how much did u pay for it? atsaka did it come in plain black or the oem silver color?

about the HID kits pala, baka may discount ka for strada club members?? hehe! ipila mo nako bro..

in the end, you'll just be paying more for stuff you would have gotten for free sa GLX, tapos may airbag ka pa atsaka third brake light.. bro promise, di ka magsisisi.. 75t lang naman difference nila..

Hi sir kogsundiam, on installing the door side mouldings, did the installer bore a hole sa body to fix/secure it, o dikit lang sya?

    Uuy, unique ang dating. Ganda....

Pero di kaya mag-peel off ang paint, considering that there is frequent hand contact sa tail gate handle?

now, the problem is finding the ideal sub for this box.. kung di ako makahanap magandang sub pang portedpag sealed sya nasa mga .8cubic ang volume.. any suggestions?

no drillings.

    thank you guys.

THIS ARE FROM US. hindi taiwan o galing sa DUB SHOP, import from US rims. meron ng minor na na gutter pero ok panaman, walang wiggle at Hi speed. eto pics sa mga interesado din bumili, kahit bgyan nalang ako finders fee kahit pam bili ng turbo timer. hehe. plan kuna mag 22 inches. heheh

    dito nanggaling dati mga rims

    1st RIM

    2nd RIM

Well, this is just a personal opinion. Going 20-22 in. bling wheels will make a strada look awesome and really stand out. This also means that the truck is street tuned. To make the look harmonious, it would be better if you lower the vehicle a bit. The large wheel well space, indicating an off-roader stance, won't look good with thin sidewalled tires. If you noticed where the 20 incher came from, it's a lowered nissan eagle pathfinder.

But, if it's not a blinger, like boy25's 20s, maganda naman tingnan.

BTW, 16-18 in. blings are just fine. There's enough rubber for those large wheel wells.

It's just me. Don't mind me too much

For the newbies on the thread. Nice setup. For those who have add-ons, you may also post your picture in this thread. The thread is more on add-ons w/picture so newbies can also see what it looks like. No questions will be posted there, just pictures of your accessories. For those inquiring on where and what price, either PM the owner of post it in "New Mitsubishi Strada" thread.

Here is the link of modifications / accessories / pictures.

just got the strada GLX model today.

question lng takot kasi ako pag usap namin sa head mechanic sa casa eh. sabi daw nya the turbo timer d daw sila mka install kasi malaki daw risk sa electrical warranty. ill take the risk of engine trouble sa sa computer din raw. hmmm noon 100% ako na mag pa install nt TT(Turbo Timer) but ngayon 50% nlng due sa takot na ma void ang warranty.

    maybe pang takot lng yun?
may nakita kasi akong TT na "hagen" brand for triton tlaga.

Congratulations, tancho_kuhako on your purchase of your new strada glx. You can never go wrong with it.

On the turbo timer, marami ng club members with the glx variant who have installed a turbo timer. Wala pa namang negative feedback from them. If the GLS and the GLS variants have them, I cannot see why the GLX cannot be installed one.

Like what was discussed in the threads in the recent past, if you do mostly city driving, the turbo timer may not be that necessary in contrast to mostly highway driving, as explained by ThePatriarch in his previous post.

Also, you have to arm yourself with the knowledge about the function of turbo timers and its electrical circuitry for you to be convinced whether the head mechanic is just taking you for a ride or not.

the necessity for the turbo timer depends on your driving habits and conditions. for purely city driving with frequent traffic bottle necks, or stop-and-go, no need for turbo timer. but if you usually drive in highways and/or always gunning the accelerator pedal, you should install a turbo timer to help you cool down your turbo before shutting off the engine.

regarding the warranty on the electricals, voided talaga kung may splicing involve in installing the turbo timer... pero kung casa ang mag-install, di nila i-void... hmmm, something fishy di ba?

BS din yung claim for an engine trouble... the turbo timer only serves as a delay mechanism in shutting down your engine to cool your turbo... sa electricals puede pa kung di tama yung pag-install nila. pero sa engine? ang layo naman! pinakamalala siguro kung masira yung turbo timer and di mag-off yung engine mo... ubos lang krudo mo! hehehehe

bottomline, choice mo yan... kung matyaga kang tao and you can spend a minute longer sa car mo before you shut off your engine, no need for a turbo timer... human turbo timer ka na!

yup d nalang ako nagkipag debate sa kanya kasi same naman eh they still will void the warranty no use talkng to them.

and just to clarify things up lng po, yung mga GLS variants meron po bang TT kasi sa d2 sa cebu wala kasi eh... hmm 80% sure ako. not 100% though... kasi been to the only 2 mitsu d2 sa cebu wala daw TT kahit yung highest end..

long time no text na ah! haha! yup as ive told you sir na i need one kasi nasa south kami so everyday i should pass a 15-20km highway/expressway. hehe i know bali wala lang yan sa manila. ok e install ko na yung TT.
the funny thing is yung acc shop sa casa is offering yung parking sensor tapos tanong ko sa head machanic na san e connect sabi nya sa electronic box or something daw SAME sa e connect sa TT which makes me really think na ______________ hehehe

may risk daw na masisira yung engine/com. sa unit but how come pwede sa parking sensor? anyways dont have interest to fight with him or talk bad things about him. basta all i need is the feedbacks from the starda club kaso na experience na ninyo. experience is the best teacher hehe.

    thanks again sa lahat!
