New Mitsubishi Strada [ARCHIVED]

I had my steering column replaced this morning at SFM San Pablo. It took around 3 hours. Wala na lagutok. Mas masarap na i-drive. So I guess I'm the first GLS Sport owner w/ a defective steering column noticed at less than 1,000k mileage. Tsk tsk... talking about quality control... But even w/ these cases, just like av8or5's transmission, I still love my truck. And even if I turn back time, Strada pa rin pipiliin ko.

you're not the only one sir. i have a steering problem also. i reported something wrong with my steering at less than 200km, barely three days old back then. my steering problem is excessive feedback/vibration on gravel roads (rough roads) as in too much vibration and not the usual feedback coming from a rack and pinion steering system. havent notice about the lagatok though but i'll have it check when i return to the Casa for a thorough diagnosis.

Sir wulf_geo, I tested my new steering column on rough roads. Since this is my first pick-up, I really don't know if the feedback is normal or excessive. You are in a better position to feel the difference since you previously owned the earlier gen Strada.

Sir wulf_geo, I tested my new steering column on rough roads. Since this is my first pick-up, I really don't know if the feedback is normal or excessive. You are in a better position to feel the difference since you previously owned the earlier gen Strada.
I'll be in CDO April 30 - May 4.

sir, just compare it with your former rides. if there's nothing unusual then it's fine. mine's different, unusual and excessive. anyway, i've talked to the manager here and scheduled a thorough check-up on monday. hope everything will be resolve soon.

Yup, my Innova has less vibrations on rough roads. Maybe because of smaller tyres (?). Although I've noticed that w/ the new steering column installed, di ko na masyado ramdam when I cross railways and gutters. Before kasi, parang may di mahigpit sa steering assembly. Anyhow, hope your problem gets resolved soon.

Doc boz, when you are in CDO, I suggest that you test drive sir wulf_geo's strada to assess and check his steering and handling concerns. Give us a feedback if sir wulf_geo's concerns are isolated for his strada or his expectations from the new strada as far as the issues he raised, were just not met. Thanks.

when my strada was around the 200km mark, the steering alignment was wrong. kumakabig siya magisa to the right. dinala ko sa casa and inadjust nila yung steering wheel para ma-derecho lang and everything was ok. mejo faulty nga ang steering wheel dahil konting roughness na sa kaly mejo pumipitik na ang manibela. i think normal to kasi magaan ang mga caha na natin compared to older cars coz of the materials used and dahil mejo maliit and wheels (height and width) for the height of the vehicle. if you get fatter tires mas stable na ang galaw and ako naman mas nakalabas ang offset ng mags ko kaya stable na rin. normal nga lang ba ang pag pitik ng manibela ko from side to side?
