New Mitsubishi Montero Sport [ARCHIVED]

Happy new year to everyone.

I have 2 problems with my 4x2 Monty:

1. After my 1k PMS, I noticed increased vibration/noise from the engine at around 1.5-2k RPM. The problem appeared after my 1k PMS which is quite weird. Brought it to CASA, and they can't find the problem. Requested for me to bring it back again (earlier) for more tests.

2. When the Monty parked on inclined ground, starting up will produce this *thud* sound as if something hit in the engine bay area.

Has anyone experienced and resolved these before?

Sir eto yung 2010 4x2 GLS namin. Parang walang splash guard sa wheel well. Ganito ba talaga siya or hindi kinabit ng casa? Sa Mitsu Marcos highway namin nakuha yung unit

Yup, that's what we get lang in fact on the right side you can see the oil filter na.

Don't worry, most components in that portion are water-proof. In fact when I do the engine wash myself I just avoid the electronic connectors that are visible. All the other parts you can wet.

parang galing sa upholstery yung amoy.... try nyo maglagay ng damit sa loob and iwanan overnyt mapapansin mo may amoy kerosene

o after ng long drive try mo smell yung likuran ng shirt mo amoy kerosene din

napansin ko lang

ganito mga ang taong walang ginagawa kundi himasin ang sasakyan maghapon lahat napapansin hehehe

to any MS owners, since yung third row aircon vents eh same as that found in the 1st gen forts, meron na ba nakapag-try yung nasa youtube sa thread na na-post dun?

ito yung usok eh pumapasok sa aircon ng third row. Kung tama pagkakatanda ko eh naka-on yung aircon tapos nagsindi sya ng mga incense sticks, tapos dun sya sa labas sa tapat ng tire sa ilalim, kitang-kita sa video na pumasok sa loob ng cabin yung mga incense smoke.

curious lang ako kung ganito rin sa MS, kasi kung naka-on yun habang nasa biyahe ka(lalo pag matagal) eh pwede pumasok carbon monoxide from the exhaust, na odorless, colorless at tasteless pa naman as well as other pollutants.

pero di ko encourage mga owners dito na i-try din nila kasi baka masira interior smell. kung may MS lang din ako or may friend ako na owner din eh sinubukan ko na para i-report din dito.

sana lang may maglakas loob or baka pwede ipa-test ng mga buyers sa SA nila para ibang Monty ang gamiting guinea pig.

Oh this is the culprit when i back read. The shirt inside my montero smells smoke after a few days. Not like my other SUV, even one month Caoat inside the car will not get smell like smoke.

I will test by not using the third row aircon for a while. i will post update after a week.

Been lurking po ever since I decided to buy a Montero Sport. got our unit last Dec. 23. Still haven't finished back reading but got a few pointers from your inputs. It helped a lot. I'd like to join the club

Sorry to hear that sir. Can u tell us the location where the smoke is coming from? Or how does the smoke come in?

is it passing through the air vents?

The C5 casa says they have adjusted the vents (i do not know where) but i still smell it after a long drive. I do not know where it is comming from. kakainis at baka mamamatay pa ako dahil alergic ako sa smoke. sinus problem... i sue them kaya

You must have seen sir mikko's ride sir also, you can see compilations of rides of our MSCP brothers on our site and get to know what hobbies most of us have in common (sports, hobbies, etc)

Good day po mga sir!!

Ask ko lng po kung saan pinakabest dealership dito luzon? may nakausap na po ako sa Union Kalookan pero parang ang laki ng interest sa kanila pag 48 mos.. pare-pareho lng po ba ito?

Ask ko din po kung may bago bang lalabas na montero? may mga rumors po ba kayong naririnig tunkol sa facelifted montero? Balak po namin bumili this coming month.

Compared to fortuner, ano nman po masasabi nyo regarding performance at reliability (dami ko naririnig bad comments ng fortuner like shocks, engine probs. etc.)

Hoping po sana sa mga replies nyo.
bigay din po sana kayo ng tips kung saan the best na bumili ng montero, ung mabilis ang delivery, financing and stuffs.....

Salamat po!!!! Hoping to have one this year (ung 2.5 AT GLS lng)!!!!!!!
