New Mitsubishi Montero Sport [ARCHIVED]

Hi all,

I've been lurking and reading this thread the past week or so, and I've learned so much by reading all of your inputs. I have a black GLS SE,and it's my first SUV/diesel vehicle. My first car was a Mazda familia, and had a 2001 Altis till last week when I was able to sell it. Anyway, I've been very happy with my monty. And seeing all of your add-ons made me want to make mods onto my ride as well. I'm considering getting the honeycomb grille and the spoiler.

But aside from that, I wanted to change my headlights. It's also the first time kasi that I've driven a car with 3M medium black tint up front, and I've been slowly getting used to it. Pero given the option, I'm thinking of changing headlights para better visibility at night.

Here are my questions:

Ok ba to purchase the Philips Xtrem Power +80? From this thread kasi, sabi good enough na to add 80% visibility yung bulbs.

But then again, a lot of you here have HIDs. So given that I'm also on a tight budget, I saw that the Lxsun's are a good buy, especially since the installation can be done in my house if ever.

Pero are the Philips bulbs good enough na to address my night visibility problem? Kasi if so, baka I can just buy the Philips and spend the money on other add ons to my monty.

Good pm to all. Been reading this forum for a week and just decided to join in. I'm about to get my MS unit tomorrow (4x2 lang naman). As this is my first time to own a brand new one, what manuals should i expect to receive? Thanks very much for your reply.

welcome to tsikot and congrats sir! aside from the owner's manual: HU (JVC) and warranty certificate and Code Alarm manuals should also be given. if not remind na lang your SA.

Update: the new batch of GLS SE variant already has audio controls too on the steering wheel

i know the little importance of the audio control on the wheel, but having it is still a plus. Somehow it also gives the cars identity on when it was purchased.

i'm one of those automobile enthusiast but still has a long way in owning one. I was observing this thread reach these number of pages it has now.Let me add that this really turned-out a very informative one.I figured out since my father is going to buy one, i just want to help him make the right choice.

The sad part is he already made his purchase at CITIMOTORS last 23rd of March, and said that it didn't have the controls i was talking about. That is why i try to clarify this with you (montero sport owners).

So if this is really true, is there a right way to claim this add-on on the DEALER?
Is it possible to demand, for them to switch one of the steering wheels with controls in exchange for the one's with none?

Hi regarding the steering wheel audio controls, earlier models like the 1st launch around last yr both for gls and gls se they dont have audio controls. but now they already have for gls and gls se.

Got ours in less than week and its not even in-house financing. FYI lang better check other dealers.

Yes its possible to add the steering wheel audio controls to units that doesnt have.. My guess is, it would cost around 5K because the discount price from 60K is 55K for the GLS SE maybe because they added the audio controls ..
