Meron na ba nagpalit ng rear drum brakes ng montero natin?
If ever, at what mileage kayo nagpalit?
Thanks!

Hi montero owners,
For the montero dahil sa EGR minimum rating oil must be CI-4 or acea E7, correct ?
So di na pwde ang nakasanayan local oils like shell rimula. Pero pwde pa regular na ginagamitko delo400 (CI4 +) at gold-ultra (ci4). Unless may factory memo against them.

September 11th, 2012 10:19 AM #614Share ko lang fellow owners. I'm now at Evolander Taytay for my monty's 1k PMS. I opted for Mitsu mineral oil and filter. Planning to use Fully synthetic oil when I reach 10k. Estimated cost is around 2,800+. Labor and body wash are free. Specifically told the SA to have it washed carefully to avoid scratches.
Timing belt pala ang montero as opposed to timing chain. The SA told me that after 2 yrs. recommended for replacement na yung belt which would be costly. For the brake pads, according to the SA pag AT at 20k usually pinapalitan na while pag MT kahit umabot daw ng 50k. He also told me their estimated cost for 20k PMS (P18K) and 40k PMS (P22K). Mahal naman...

September 11th, 2012 01:48 PM #617Changed my Front pads at 38K. may 2.5mm thick pa naman before kumaskas yung warning device sa rotor.
And i noticed na hindi even yung wear ng pads when we replaced it.
Problem ko naman ngayon is yung brake shoe. Hindi ko alam kung gaano kakapal ang brand new.
baka kasi makapal pa e, sayang naman kung papalitan na.

In a BYD FB Group, they kept saying na "Toyota Reliability" is a myth sa dami ng local recall nila....
