Due na for 35k pms yung Montero ko. AFAIK yung 35k light pms lang siya? Change oil Filter at Linis lang ng brakes? Plano ko Balwdin filter and Motul CRDI good for 10,000kms na? Any shop na recommended outside of CASA?

Since nagloloko nga montero namin, i brought it earlier sa peak motors manila bay. I was there at 0730 and got the car at 1600.

First impression ko is negative. Masikip yung place nila, both service area and car viewing area. Upon arriving, pumunta agad ako sa SA to get a number(#7). I told her to perform MUT para malaman ano cause ng power loss. Since maliit nga service area nila (i was told there are 8 bays) I waited untill 1100 bago na test drive yung car namin. (I was not informed na mag test drive. Nagulat nalang ako at wala na yung car sa service area). Around 10mins din yung test drive and i noticed na dahan dahan naman mag drive yung driver paakyat ng ramp.

Upon testing, we were informed na under performing nga SCV so we decided to palitan na kasama fuel filter. Initially gusto rin nila ibaba fuel tank pero in the end, hindi narin ginawa.

At 1530, the scv was already replaced and was initialized na sa computer. The guard on duty told me na mag car wash (with vacuum cleaning) before release.

The interior has no traces of dirt/grease. The rims and wheels were also cleaned.

On the way home, hinataw ko siya and i noticed na mas linear ang response ng throttle. Less noise is also developed on high rpm (mas naging matining yung tunog)

What caught my attention was the dissappearance of the squeak sound when i release the brake pedal. Matagal ko na siyang problem and i even cleaned and lubricated the drum brakes spring pero hindi nagtatagal at bumabalik ang sound. I guess the mechanic fixed it (which is a plus for me. Mas naging sulit yung binayad ko sa labor)

SCV price is 13200++
Fuel filter is 2500++
Labor 900++
Discounted price is 16188.

Sa Atco pasay SCV is only 9500.

Overall im satisfied sa service nila especially sa mechanic (very friendly and nakakwentuhan ko pa). The guard dun sa service area is also mabait. Nakipagkwentuhan din ako.

I also violated the rules.
Since nakakabored maghintay, ikot ako ng ikot sa service area. There are also times na pinupuntahan ko yung service bay para makita whats happening sa car. So far, hindi ako sinaway ng guard (i asked for her permission twice though haha) pero my dad was reprimanded when he tried to. He was assisted naman by the guard after that for a couple of minutes.

(i told them na new customer ako sa peak and my old casa is citimotors makati)

What i dont like is yung parking area nila. May guards (3 ata) pero along service road. Hanggang hindi ka pa iseaervice, nandun yung kotse mo. Well kasi nga maliit area nila.

Another thing is wala silang viewing area. All customers would like to see their car being serviced. Sana magawan nila ng paraan yun.

sana nagdala ka na lang ng piyesa mo bro para nakasave. mahal nung fuel filter, tapos hindi naman ganun ka ganda ang performance.

sana nagdala ka na lang ng piyesa mo bro para nakasave. mahal nung fuel filter, tapos hindi naman ganun ka ganda ang performance.

Ours is the small one sir zix. It costs twice of that the bigger one.
Sabi ko nga sa casa, baka pwede yung malaki kasi sa fortuner yung mga replacement SCV nila mas malaki na yung ginagamit.
Ang problema, wala pa daw sialng "open" na big SCV para matry. So ang pinalit nalang is yung small one.

I also said na baka pwede sa ATCO nalang ako bibili, tutal kumukaha din naman kayo ng parts sa kanila and orig naman yun.
Pwede naman daw, pero wala daw warranty in case masira uli.

Hay Casa nga naman talaga. Their arguments never change

Pwede gamitin yung blue na SCV sa fuel pump that originally came with the flesh SCV. But need ng spacer to fit.

Those that came with blue SCV will only accept the blue SCV. This one is supposedly more durable and was the answer to the frequent problems when the montero first came out.

Both can be maintained naman by cleaning like what zix showed before.

Was able to buy only 6 liters lang ng Motul TRD 5w40 since naubos na stock nung shop. Pwede ko ba pag haluin yung HTECH 100 na 5w40 para sa remaining .5L since may natira pa ako from a previous change oil? Tama po ba 6.5 liters lang yung 4d56?

Try to inquire sa motech branches sir.. Average 500 ang singil nila(Fairview branch).

6.5 liters lng daw ung oil na kelangan pero hindi na buksan yung 1 liter.. check ko tomorrow kung nasa level sya

pwede basta same chemical specifications, your user's manual will guide you... but if you don't want to risk kase mas mura ang fluid kesa blocked radiator fins due to chemical incompatibility which will lead to expensive replacement eh dun ka na sa mitsubishi radiator fluid, unless ma research mo kung sino (ano company) gumagawa ng coolant nila...

sir, concern lang ako, masyado ata kaunti yung oil na nailagay.... the dipstick ng montero 2.5 engine ay may orientation ang insertion... I mean, hindi sya baligtaran.... kapag nabaligtad mo ang pag insert ay aakalain mo na overfilled ang engine oil, pero kung tama ang pagka insert ng dipstick ay duon lang tama ang sukat ng engine oil level... it was emphasized to me ng SA sa casa when I told him na i-DIY ko na lang ang engine oil change ko... so advise ko lang, re-check the oil level and inspect kung paano ang pasok ng dipstick,,,, another tip, ung malapit sa handle ng dipstick ay may paint marker, dapat ay magkatapat sila ng paint mark when the dipstick is fully inserted.... baka lang we are running our engine at too low oil level.... now sir, kung tama naman talaga yung oil level ng montero mo, that's fine and good for you because you have an engine which only uses 5.5 liter of engine oil....
