Also, pumapayag ba silang sumilip pag ilalagay na yung oil? Thanks!
    Performed my 1k pms at citimotors LP. I brought my own oil pero with a surcharge of 10% of their so-called "synthetic" oil. Nung una ayaw pumayag na silipin ko while filling up the oil. Talked to my agent nung kumuha ako ng monty sa kanila, my agent talked to the SA (forgot the name though), tinawag ako nung time na lalagay na yung oil.

    Protocol daw nila yun kaya d pwedeng makita yung sasakyan habang gingawa. Dapat kasi meron sila aquarium na kahit nasa lounge yung customer e nakikita ang ginagawa kahit d malapitan. From there you'll know what happens kahit malayuan.

    Planning to have my 5k pms on citimotors alabang. Any feedbacks from this casa?

I didn't let go a million peso from my pocket tapos malay ko kung anu ginagawa nila. Unfair yun.

How much for 5 liters? And also per liter? I saw one in staging lanes in shell LP i forgot the price though.

    Thanks a lot!

    Sir Topilots, salamat sa long thread Might as well ask my Sales Agent about this "protocol thing".

    Meron sa Ace Hardware SM Hypermarket for 249 per liter.

    Sir Zix888/ Montero Sport owners,

    I have been following your posts since Dec of last year. Your input has always been valuable to beginners like me. I am set to have my 10k PMS and i don't know what engine oil to use. I read one of your post regarding Royal Purple max. How much is it and where to buy? Aside from that, is there any other oil that is economical and yet efficient? Should i use Fully Synthetic or just the regular?

    Also, my Montero's recent jerking worsen and i think i need to have it rectified by Diamond Greenhills. Can you share what things they need to clean or change to ensure that my unit can go back to its pristine condition?

    Looking forward to hearing your input.

    Thank you!

    a. Use a Euro 4 diesel (Unioil/Eastern); this will also decrease nung pagiging smoke belcher ni monty
    b. Add 2T (not CASA recommended just research its benefits kng gusto mo maconvince); this will also decrease nung pagiging smoke belcher ni monty
    c. Clean your MAF and EGR ( tingin ko eto talaga nakapagpawala nung jerking)

    Jerking scenario nung sakin eh pag malamig pa engine once na nag normal operating temp sya wala na and pag medyo due na ko mag change oil; pag kakapalit lng ng oil wala yung jerking episodes niya, CASA checked the fuel filter, SCV and did a diagnostic normal lahat. A. and B. are quick fixes but the jerking sometimes recur nung nagawa yung C. di na umulit, sana tuloy tuloy

    Regarding the oil just my 2cents, kng every 5 thou mo balak magpalit ng filter and oil pwede na mineral pero kng mageextended OCI ka (not CASA recommended) mag synthetic ka na, if you have money to burn and gusto mo ng peace of mind do a 5K kms OCI using a fully synthetic oil or gawin mo yung protocol ng CASA, they use synthetic oil up to 10K kms but they change the oil filter (even if it says on the box that you can use it up to 10K kms) and top up the oil every 5K kms

    Kung high-pressue crdi like mga 4,000 psi na. Pero kung 2,500 psi or below lang like most cars here except european cars, puwede.

    Thank you, Sir butchyboy! This is very helpful. Same din ang sincabi ni Sir Zix888. I used Unioil diesel and medyo nawala nga yung jerking but from time to time bumabalik sya. I will havemy EGR, SVC, Fuel Filter and Fuel tank cleaned this week sa Casa. Then 10k PMS na. Mabuti pa fortuner walang issues like this

    No problem, actually most of my info about our monty came from sites like these. I think the real culprit is the quality of our diesel here. Our monty as far as I know was designed for a EURO IV diesel. Most CASAs where I had my monty checked/serviced ( Diamond, Carworld Malolos, Freeway Baliwag) discourages "high end" diesel such as Shell V power diesel; something to do about the "alcohol" additives of these fuels. Don't know if they are true but my monty was probably 99% of the time fed with Shell V power diesel (approx 12K kms) up to until the jerking episodes appeared.

    Davin88 I also had the smoke belching issues with low power before. What I did is brought it to casa and they cleaned my egr and replaced my scv. They also blamed it to shell v power diesel. Now I only use seaoil or petron diesel max. During my last change oil I used Mobil 1 turbo diesel truck 5w40 bought it at cash and carry. Now my montero runs smoother with more power and no more smoke belching.

    Following the thread related to the preferred brand of diesel for the MS, it appears Seaoil gets the nod of most owners. I have been using Shell regular diesel all this time (primarily due to entitlement to rebates) and thus far, no problems nor observable excessive smoke emission at 10,000 kms. in the odometer. I am inclined to try Seaoil, however, in my next top-up as I am convinced by the forum of its better quality & positive effect to our engines. The only issue with me here is the small presence of Seaoil stations in the country where I may find it difficult to fill-up moreso when I go out of town.

    Weird kasi sabi nila sakin when i got my monty last dec, shell v power daw ang ikarga ko. nagimprove nga sya nung gumamit ako ng unioil. pero the jrking is still there. I will bring it to diamond greenhills tom and i will have them clean my egr and replace my scv. By the way, how much is mobil 1 turbo diesel truck 5w40? mas ok ba sya compared to delo 400? thanks!

    1000KM checkup at Diamond Motors kanina, for my MS GLX non-VGT AT
    7 liters (daw) of turbo xp
    5,300+ petot

    1,000 KM service done at Citimotors LP. They allowed me to bring my own oil. Mobil Delvac Mx, 7 liters. Aside from the oil, total cost of service at P1,545.00. For the OEM filter and gasket may 10% discount pa.

    Bale yung breakdown is:
    Flush P399.00
    10% Surcharge P170
    Oil Filter P1042
    Oil Plug gasket P42

    Wala na naman ibang chinarge (Varsol, rags, car wash), so I guess okay naman. Would rather pay the surcharge, at least alam kong oil ko yung nilagay. Pumayag din sila silipin ko habang nilalagay yung oil, accompanied by the SA. 9AM pinasok, 1130AM nakalabas.

    Just had my 30,000 KMS PMS at Diamond Quezon Avenue. Unit is 2010 Montero Sport GLS 4x2 A/T non-VGT.

    Here's the breakdown:
    7liters Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck Fully Synthetic (Cash&Carry) at 440/liter = P3,080
    Baldwin BD28 oil filter (Volmax) = P765
    Gear Oil EP90 (Casa) = P546
    Engine Flush = P320.49
    Battery Solution = P35.75
    Varsol = P95.54
    Car Care Kit = P280
    Rags = P23.99
    Sandpaper = P20
    Change Differential Oil = P465
    Labour = P3,283
    Total = P8,914.77

    Arrived there at 7am. Finished at 2pm. Pina check ko ung kumakalampag sa steering, steering column pala and pinalitan nila agad free of charge because covered pa ng warranty, no questions asked.
