Palit ka priming pump assembly ... kya yan hard starting dahil hindi ma retain ng priming/fuel pump ung diesel sa linya ... kumabaga parang me hangin linya ng fuel mo. Ung taiwan na assembly 800 lang kasama filter. 8 years ko na nagamet din never ako nag ka problem sa taiwan na priming/fuel pump.. pag di pa rin tsaka mo na pa calibrate ...![]()
nelany, ilan tinakbo nung nagpa calibrate ka? and yung present? curious lang ako
baka makapag conclude tayo kung Distance ba or gaano katagal ang reason kaya bumibigay front seal ng injection pump.

sirs, I'd like to solicit your advice, ideas, or suggestions on my plan to undertake a full restoration (i.e. engine, underchassis, interior as well as the exterior) of my 2001 4X2 FM. the mileage already runs to 146k. I know it would cost me a fortune, but would it be worth it? where would I start? do you have a ballpark figure how much would it cost? thank you for your inputs. more power!
Hmmmmm, it depends sir. Basta identify mo yun mga worn out na. Start from there. Wag ka muna gumalaw doon sa mga ok pa naman. Kung worth it or not, for me, worth it naman dahil magiging parang bago ulit yun sasakyan. And kung magkano aabutin, it will depend on the parts na papalitan ninyo.
thank you testament 11. I appreciate your comments. so I'll start with the underchassis coz my FM sounds like rice mill when it runs on potholes. may I know ano talaga yang washover na yan? I have a vague idea but I need it to be sure. thank you.

yes sir testa i agree, it's the least of my worries. my priority is suspension or underchassis and the engine. haven't touched the engine yet, though i replaced some suspension parts already but they're not OEMs coz didn't have the idea then until I started backreading here.
I would suggest that you leave the aesthetic side first. Unahin nyo muna ang engine and under chassis. For the engine dapat palit lahat ng fluids, engine support, tranny support and whatnot...sa under chassis naman lahat ng dapat palitan papalitan nyo para maging smooth at tahimik ulit ang ride. Once na ok na lahat dun na kayo gumastos sa pintura, mags, and kung gusto nyo convert to euro version...

It's been a while since I last posted here but happy to see thread is still active.
Anyway, my FM is producing some squeaking sounds at the front and upon having it checked, was told that lower and upper ball joints, tie rod end and idler arm assembly needs to be replaced. Quotation given to me was P14.3K including parts and labor...though still negotiable...and replacement parts are 555.
With that said, for those who have replaced the same parts, is the quotation reasonable?

*gearguru, i think so. within that range. i replaced the same parts too just recently.
