Good morning to all.

Changed my Valve Cover Gasket dahil meron leak sa half moon last Saturday.

Bought OEM para sure but until today, me traces ng oil sa parking ko. The mechanic just put sealants on the 2 half moons and at random points sa valve cover and the gasket.

Planning to trace it mamaya but any inputs for the proper way of replacing the valve cover gasket please? TIA and good am.

Yun paglalagay ng silicon gasket eh sa dulo tips lang ng gasket. Sa half moon, yun rounded part lang at dapat hindi daapt sobra ang dami ng silicon sealant. Di dapat random points ang paglalagay. all througout dapat pero evenly applied. Not too thin pero not too thick ang dami ng sealant

better check sa service manual. parang naalala ko correct way is sa mga corners lang ng gasket. although im not 100% sure.

I stand corrected doon sa paglalagay ng silicon sealant, though so far naman sa ginawa ko eh ok naman yun pagkakagawa ko. Please take a look on these pics for reference sa kung paano magpalit ng valve cover gasket.

Thanks again Sir Testa. Will be bearing this in mind. Culprit but wag naman sana is the curing time of an hour. Since inabot na ako ng closing time, pagkakabit ng valve cover gasket andar na agad ,hehehe.

power window ko ngayon parang walang lakas sa driver side... pag paakyat.. pero pag tulungan.. umaakyat.. ano po kaya problema? hehe

Ako kasi sa bahay ko lang ginawa yun pagpapalit ng gasket. So sinunod ko lang naman yun 1 hour curing time bago paandarin. Nung pinaandar ko eh tinutukan talaga namin ng erpats ko kung may tatagas o wala.

Baka mahina na yun motor. Minsan power window ko sa driver side ganyan din, kelangan tulungan. Di ko lang alam kung may carbon brush yan motor na yan na pwedeng i-DIY

Ipalinis mo lang yung power window motor. Yung sa akin ayaw nga gumana pero nung nalinis, okay na.

may carbon brush yung power window motor. overhaul kay Jemson 600 kasama na carbon brush and cleaning ng window channel

motor cleaning/changing carbon brushes, and cleaning/lubricating the power window moving parts.. nasa 800 po pagawa ko last tym per window.. pero after nun, may improvement pero hindi parin ganun kaganda ang akyat baba ng window..

next step is nilinisan ng soap water ang rubber ways ng glass window, and pagka tuyo, sprayed silicone grease..(yung nabibili sa Ace hardware/handyman na in- spray cans)
ayun, after that, swabeng swabe na.. parang bnew lang..hehe..

try ko muna linis.. motor and rubberways hehe tipid mode eh.. pag hindi talaga... pagawa ko nalang kay jemson..

btw linis is.. baklas motor.. then light liha sa umiikot and sa magnet sa loob no? then punas then balik uli? hehe

dati pa actually nafeel ko na mahina driverside motor ko e.. pag umaakyat.. sabay sila ng driver and passenger... minsan bumabagal driver ng halos di gumagalaw kaya dapat siya lang magisa akyat ko... hindi pwede may kasabay na ibang window..

I had the same problem before too with my window. It refused to go up. I bought Elevo power window lubricant over at Ace Hardware for around P150. I applied it around dinner time and the following morning, it was working perfctly again. I apply this now every three months.

The leather part of my tire cover is already exhibiting cracks thus I decided to replace it. Bought this in ebay (HK supplier) for around P1.5K only and had it shipped through a colleague of mine. Quite happy with the way it adds contrast/ appeal to the rear of my white Pajero FM...

Saan pa ba garantisado magpakabit ng oil catch can? Meron daw modified pa nito para mas effective?
Kay ser joseph parang 3.5k o 4.5k kung tama alala ko nung nagtanong ako sa kanya. Ano pala kinakabit na occ ni ser joseph di ko kasi natanong.
