monty, 800 pala yun, medyo mahal, makabili nga rin, burado na yung akin,![]()
back to the topic of suspension setting:
For the longest time palagi lang nasa medium to soft ang setting...kaya ngayon mas preferred na namin ang hard setting...masyado kasi maalog sa loob pag naka soft or medium
FM Peeps,
Need your expert recommendations. I got a problem with my FM. Medyo mausok pag arangkada. Tumaas FC ko. And pansin ko low power. I had it check sa BETAN CALIBRATION just early this morning. Eto findings:
1. Mausok kapag inapakan gas pedal
2. Tinanggal nila turbo/intercooler hose, inapakan ulet gas pedal, malaki nabawas sa black smoke. Almost nawala except kapag flooring na pedal talaga.
3. May oil na yung paligid mg turbo hose to intercooler.
Job repairs needed as per mechanic:
1. Checking of nozzle tips (replace/recondition as needed)
10.7K - Labor and replace with new nozzle tips ; or
5.8K - if Labor and calibration of nozzle tips only
2. Turbocharger assy reconditioning - 20K estimate (depende daw sa sira. pwede pa magbago price); or
- 35K for new
All with 6months warranty on parts and labor.....
I think the checking of nozzle tips is fair enough since matagal na din naman yung FM. But yung turbo, I am not sure kung may mas mura pa dito na makukuhanan ng parts or shop for repair.
Your comments will be greatly appreciated.....Kung sino man may experience na on repairing turbos ng FM naten at nozzle tips..
thanks
Sa Calibration mukhang ok yung price, pero check out other diesel calibration center like bosch, I think central diesel sa quezon ave. Or yung Bosch calibration sa dagat-dagatan malabon.
Sa turbo kung 20K and up, medyo mataas for me(check out the 4m40 service manual for this first to know atleast what needs to be repaired and if the parts mentioned do exist). better have it replaced na lang kung 35K pero depends on the brand of turbo they'll be installing. Garret ba yung brand? or japan made? I wont go for a taiwan made on turbo... And depends on your budget...![]()
ok thanks. I will try central diesel...one thing i like sa BETAN is aside from malapit saken, they have no restrictions sa calibration area. I can watch them while they are working and explaining details.
Sirs, I'm new here sa forum and I found it very helpful to wheel lovers. By the way, we just bought a 2001 FM last month and I want to have the interiors & exteriors checked to fix minor stuff. Could you advise me of a shop/s who are expert with Pajero FM? Thanks a lot.
Guys pa tulong naman san ako maka bili ng L.E.D. set para sa instrumentation ng Pajero FieldMaster ko. at magkano gagastusin ko kasama na yung sa shifter. salamat
Sorry guy probensyano ako. i dont know wer to buy sa amin. kung may lam kayo na nag shiship ng L.E.D. just let me know basta local lng.
why not try nozzle calibration first only. I tried Betan (Makati) 2-3 years ago nozzle calibration (lang) kasi mausok. Also replace airfilter with new one (original) because i think one of the reasons na mausok, tapos if tanggalin ang hose biglang mawala ang usok is the lack of sufficient air-supply sa makina. Likewise, try cleaning your tail pipe with soap and water. Baka yong smoke (when you floor the pedal and removed the hose) were just the old old carbon deposits sa tail pipe. Always did this before smoke-test, my last reading reading was .19 for a 1999 model FMsuggestion lang at least this will not cost a fortune.
For me I think small oil around the turbo and intercooler hoses is normal, baka ok pa ang turbo mo. maybe you just need to replace hose clamp or hose.
Sakin mausok (white smoke) even when idling pag bagong start. This is in normal temp weather. Should I do something? Pag mainit na makina, nawawala na yung usok.
