This may be too far from the topic but I would like to share this nevertheless.

Thanks to this thread, I had the guts to try a DIY on the dash and aircon lights. I have to agree the aircon is quite handfull considering I have stubby hands. But it was great.

Now i'm planning to do it again using LED. Just wish someone could share how much and same 12V as well.

I've been asking around from different Pajero threads on how exactly one can change the bulbs. But to no avail. Maybe I was looking for the right answer at the wrong places. Well, with your thread you proved me wrong. Thank you.

I have a Gen 2 Pajero Gas A/T GLX (US Version). Yes, I know, it drinks as much as an expedition but I'm comfortable with the Paj.

Back in 2003, I was able to talk to PK. He did plan to create a group for Pajero enthusiasts, but I guess he didn't push through with it and also I sold my 1995 Local M/T back then.

I'm planning on upgrading my ride to 2.5. Had long history of Pajeros. First car '88 Pajero M/T, then '95 Pajero M/T and now '97 Pajero A/T Gas.

Anyway, I hope you hold meetings or get together to hang out, as i would like to join you guys as well.

I'll be tuned to this thread. Thank you guys for keeping even non-frequenter informed of all great opinions and DIYs without the hassle of looking stupid in asking for it.

17m, yup meong red festoon na led. why not just paint the lens red meron naman transluscent red paint. or balutan ng red yema candy wrapper.

archijardy, nung may tumira dati sa 3rd row quarter glass ko, ginawa ko yung option 2. mga 1 year ko din ginamit, nung nagpasetup na ako grabe yung vibration ng window kaya ginawa ko yung option 1 but ginamit ko yung non hardening sealant para pwede parin maalis. from toothpaste textire tumitigas lang siya parang chewing gum. di mo parin mabubuksan window. better yung option 1 mo.

ikawngaba, it depends saan napunta ang coolant, if no leaks and di rin nahalo sa oil or ATF. chances are cylinder head gasket. nasasama na sa combustion yung coolant. nabasa ko lang sa foreign forums medyo marami na kasi naka experience.

AC, optitron yata tawag sa toyota, kayang kaya mo yan bro. yung sa akin parang sa toyota narin pag naka ON na ang susi umiilaw na backlight kahit umaga.

salamat sir PB, try to check if nahalo sa oil or ATF, paano po kung cylinder head gasket, madali lang po ba palitan yun? Maraming salamat po uli.

Sir AC, wala akong idea paano nagkatubig. Di naman ako sumagasa sa baha, actually basta pag tingin ko abot kalahati ng tires eh di ko na sinusugod. One reason is kung may kasalubong specially sa amin na mga jeep PUV eh mabibilis at mas parang enjoy sila akala mo mga naka jet ski. Nag check na rin kasi ako before ng fuel line at ng dinadaanan from the tank lid. Sa tingin ko galing mismo sa gas Stations.

1.)nag bliblink yung central differential lock ko sa dashboard.. ano kaya problema nun??

2.) ano po ba kaylangan kong gawin, naninikit yung brakes ko, kahapon yung sa harap, ngayon sa likod naman.. pinaoverhaul ko na yung brakes kaso ganun padin

Future project, kasi need to replace my tie rod ends and suspension bushing. Ito muna budget allocation.

testament yung big bulb lang nabili ko sa ace. yung small bulb sa autohouse ko nabili dito sa fairview sm. and if im not mistaken, i saw a couple of these bulbs in blade as well.

nelany, pwde pala palitan luob ng compass na lights?. saw promdiboys post hehehe kaya lang i dont know where to get those bulbs locally.

kakatakot magkarga ngayon jan sa areas na nabaha kaya ako puro sa mga gas station dito sa bulacan lang nagkakarga... mahal pa naman maintenance natin...hirap na naman mag start pag malamig baby ko glow plug na kaya un?

Kay Bro PB ko lang din nalaman yung mga LED bulbs na kailangan sa FM natin. Laking pasasalamat ko kay PB dyan sa LED bulbs.
Order ka nalang sa internet kung hindi mo alam kung saan bibili.

AC, kailangan pa repack mo rin yung grasa sa mga gulong mo. Yung sa akin just finished last week. Nalubog sa baha yung kalati ng gulong. Mostly they recommend to change yung bearing pag nabasa ng baha lalo nat kakaunti nalang yung grasa. Mag iingay later on yung bearing.

i tried mit turbo XP dati at ok naman for 8Tkm b4 i change oil, fully-synthetic yata yun. then i tried Castrol "Magnatec" for diesel, semi-synthetic, at eto hindi maganda ang takbo ng 4m40. 5Tkm na at magpapa-change oil na din ako b4 the long holiday. i guess ok yun turbo XP pero gusto ko sana mag-try ng iba at sa labas naman. im thinking mobil1 kaso di ko alam kung compatible. delvac has some issues ive heard kaya duda ako dun. mobil1 i know is for gasoline only (not sure).

also, may software ba sa speedlab or speedfix ng 4m40 japan paj computer box para sa adjustment ng auto transmission timing? kasi may nagsabi sa akin about sa mabagal na arangkada na baka sa computer box ang problema at hindi sa auto transmission? he happens to have a 4d56 paj also at nakasakay sya sa passsenger seat when we i demonstrated to him a run drive. mas malakas pa nga ang accelerattion ng kanyang 4d56 nya kesa dito sa 4m40 from complete stop to 3rd gear (i also tried his ride). pero 3rd-4th gear, maiiwan na yun 4d56.

not sure of the comp.box and i doubt that it is the culprit.

mabagal na arangkada can be a lot of things:

1. oils, filters (engine and a/t)
2. throttle cable adjustment
3. timing (teka, meron ba timing 4m40?)

arch, thanks for advicing. timing, wala yata 4m40 dahil timing chain. tingnan ko din dito sa throttle adjustment... filters siguro dahil di pako nagpalit ng a/t filter at kita ko kasi malinis pa kaya im not changing. siguro this time (oil change) i will include a/t filter change. still, may idea ka ba kung spedlab or speedfix can help with this problem? (in addition to the oil change). sana lang di mahal.

Ac, pang gen 1 yata yung suspension seats sa sulit, cant wait to get my hands on our gen 2 sa christmas break, and get those seats. sana madali lang.

dcarin, love those pics very informative, sa gas station nga siguro galing yan, imho get the most expensive fuel filter possible, aside from filtering its also a water separator. it maybe more expensive but dahil sa sama ng fuel quality natin sa pinas, it could save you alot in repair bills. advantage nadin siguro ng old school diesel natin na hindi kasing selan sa diesel kapag crdi tayo, for sure bye bye na sa injectors, 100k expense.

ikawngaba, afaik head gasket failure means overhaul narin.
