He experienced SUA on his Montero Sport. Photos was said to be taken immediately after impact with engine still running. Please take note of high RPM even with A/T on Park with no ignition keys. Looks like a runaway diesel engine. Can anyone explain this?

Yup. That's simply a stuck needle. Whether or not the engine is still revving or the car is still moving, de-powered electrical gauges will not read.

Mitsubishi Montero Sport owners, with support from Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), will be holding a fun run called the Drive of Confidence on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 6:00AM.

The drive is organized by avid Mitsubishi Montero Sport fan, Gel Angeles, in response to the allegations of sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport and to demonstrate the the group's belief that their vehicles are safe and free from defects. The group and MMPC are emphasizing that the drive will be conducted in a safe and defensive manner with all road rules, traffic lights and speed limits observed.

Incidentally, the set off points for the drive are at Mother Ignacia Street, Sgt. Esguerra, and Eugenio Lopez Drive in Quezon City. The start points are unusual, given that the roads effectively surround ABS-CBN, the TV network that has repeatedly released accounts of SUA in the past few weeks.

After gathering, the convoy will then head to Makati City via EDSA, and then enter Buendia, head around Zodiac Street and back down Jupiter Street across the headquarters of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The group will then proceed back to EDSA and make their way to the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation plant at Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Because the usage of it in this particular thread(maybe even forum) has highly been an implied derogatory. Yes, its text and one can get any number of meanings by it but the most common implication here is negative.
