Corollary to that bro.,- sadly, there's also a saying that if you repeat the same *story* over and over again,- no matter what,- it is perceived as "true" by the storyteller him/herself and the audience....

Uu nga, may epekto talaga yung over and over again na story.

This Montero hoolabaloo is just a made up expose of Noli De Castro and his fat daugther Kat De Castro.

Both father and daughter went to a Mitsubishi dealer to purchase a 2015 Montero. The veteran tagalog News Reader ceaselessly asked for a buy 1 get 1 free promo of the Montero, which was unfortunately not being offered by Mitsubishi.

They ended up not buying the SUV because De Castro did not get what he wanted.

The next day, De Castro on DZMM made a false expose (with JR's infamous driver stupidity Montero CCTV accident) regarding SUAs.

To shut this bastards mouth, I suggest Mitsubishi should give him a brand new Montero unit now. He will soften his attack and save Mitsubishi a lot of trouble.

Just saw this from TGP comments.

Question lang..
Put the gear on Neutral... Then off the engine... And put the key into ACC position... So that the battery will operate on power steering and break... In this case free wheeling ka downhill... Anyone tried?

Never swift off the engine... downhill pa yan .. for sure steering wheel mo matigas at break mo matigas din... katapusan nyan is accident.

Funny when the Bias Network wonders why the MS 2nd hand market is having problems, when they are the main reason.

Same story, same profile of a SUA victim (elderly this time with medical problems).

The SUA victims group proposed a "win-win" situation where MMPC will "repair" older MS by installing the new features of the 2016 MS. Is that a joke???

Tama yung MMPC, what is the use a recall when the DTI don't know what is wrong with the MS.

First off... NEVER TURN YOUR ENGINE OFF GOING DOWNHILL. Modern cars use either no fuel or an infintesimal amount of fuel coasting downhill in gear.

Secondly, the battery won't be able to run EPS and the vacuum pump continuously, there will be some loss of assist. (Also, the Montero Sport doesn't have EPS, so the point is moot... the battery will not run hydraulic power steering).

On the bright side, if you're experiencing SUA, you can turn the engine off while it's revving. You will still have enough assist left in the brakes for one stop. You'll have to be ready to wrestle with the car, however.

    To save gas.

Which is stupid, because all modern cars cut the fuel injectors when you're coasting in gear.

I've gotten up to 25-30 km/l from my CR-V going downhill, coasting with the engine on.

Granted, you can do even better with the engine off. You can also wreck your car the moment a tricycle pulls out of a side road, or when a bus coming up the other way tries to overtake around a blind bend and you don't have enough braking power to stop.

As per manufacturer, not recommended to put the gear on Neutral if the vehicle is in motion specially sa mga AT, sa MT pwede pa siguro.

(joke joke).

Seriously, is such an "upgrade" even possible? Assuming it is, how much will it cost MMPC? 20k per vehicle? Assuming 60k cars will be "upgraded" that's a whopping 1.2 Billion pesos. Huwaaaw.
