ok..thanks for the comment. siguro ang benefit lang nito is to consume less petrol, and is good for the environment na rin siguro.

Guys I need opinions on a 2001 Galant.

Do 2001 galants come with a carburetor as well as fuel injection? My friend has a galant and it is carburetor. Is his engine original? I've only seen fuel injected ones for the VR4. How much would a 2001 galant sell for these days?

anyone planning to get their aircon fixed sa petron ccc ortigas, naku goodluck sa inyo.

sa coolbox, after nila kalasin yung mga tubings, pinahawak nila sa kin and pina-twist. grabe talaga, nakakainis, nagttwist nga. umabot about 10k yung gastos ko for my aircon pa lang sa petron ccc tapos eto pala gawa nila. parang pinagsasaksak lang nila yung mga tubing. sa coolbox, parang may soldering silang ginagawa sa joints. yun, siguradong walang tagas. ininspect pa nila ng maigi before nila irelease. itong weekend ko lang pinagawa. ask pa nila ako nung cooling coil ko, sabi ko oo pinapalitan nung petron ccc. pero dahil masyado mahal daw yung original, ok na rin daw yung replacement, 4k yun. natawa yung coolbox. pinakita nila sa kin yung original nila 5k lang pala. sana nag-original na lang daw ako since konti lang difference.

walang kalampag yung car ko nung dinala ko sa petron ccc for the first time. nung binalik nila, meron na sa front wheels ko. ito'y after ko paggawa yung brakes ko. all in all yung nagastos ko bukod pa nung sa aircon? haha, wag nyo na tanungin. umiinit ulo ko kapag naalala ko. kung ako tatanungin, try to avoid petron ccc ortigas or kung maalam kayo sa kotse, pede nyo siguro bantayan yung gawa. pero the best siguro is to go somewhere else. sa kin kasi, i leave it doon because i thought i can trust them.

dagdag pa pala, yung first time na inayos ng petron yung aircon ko which lasted 1 whole day (sabi ko pa sa phone "politely", ok lang ho basta pulido yung gawa, magaantay ako.), nung kukunin ko na after office ng gabi, pagbukas ko ng hood wala yung takip nung sa tubing ko. yung may letter H ba yun. sabi nung nagbabantay, "alam ko nandyan lang yan ser". sabi ko, panong nandyan e wala nga dito o. so pinababalik nya na lang ulit yung car kinabukasan since wala na rin tao sa kanila, uwian na. pinalitan nila ng ibang takip. mas maliit, pinilit nilang itakip. pero wala na akong nagawa since naisip kong pano ko makukuha yung nawala na talaga nila. pinatawad ko yung nangyari kasi yung importante sa kin, gumagana yung aircon. and pulido yung work and siguro nagkataon lang talaga yung nawala nila yung cap ng tubing ko. pero bakit nawawala yung aircon ko after 1 or 2 weeks lang?

nakakatuwa may mga nirecommend pa naman ako dun sa kanila. ngayon, iniisa isa ko na ulit silang sabihan about this para umiwas na sila.

sa coolbox, tinapos nila yung work less than halfday. sana people would stop patronizing petron ccc para matuto sila.

Parang gusto ko ah..the problem is, very scarce ang E10 lalo na po dito sa Province (I am from Laguna po). Do you know where I can find the nearest Gas Station that supports E10? Does all Oil Companies have E10 (the big five specifically SHELL, CALTEX, PETRON, TOTAL, SEAOIL)?

Another question po is, I have been using Premium and not Unleaded, but I saw on the image E10 Unleaded...so is it really advisable? I have used UNLEADED before on my car but others told me to use PREMIUM instead since my car is 2nd hand, so I switched...is this true also?

Dami ko questions...hope you can answer 'em all. Thanks and more power to this Forum!

sorry i saw this just now...

according to the ad that i posted, all units with ECI-Multi/MPI (Multi Point Injection) that also includes your 2.5 6A13 Galant should be compatible with the e10 gas. as for the availability, it would depend on your nearby gasoline stations whether they will accept the change to e10 or not. Im up here in Baguio and it took time for the launch of e10 here since i heard about e10 in Manila since last year.

Since e10 is not available in your area, you can still use the recommended gas stated at your Owner's Manual whether it is 1st owner or 2nd owner...

Mitsubishi introduces the new 2010 Galant SE

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation recently welcomed the arrival of the latest Galant, the SE, by inviting members of the motoring press to experience what the new flagship has to offer.

For 2010, the Galant receives a new host of advanced features and upgrades. From the outside, the new Galant SE gets a fresh new face, starting with a new hood that does away with the original Boulay touch on the outgoing 240M model and provides a new, prouder chrome grille. High Intensity Discharge projector headlamps take care of illumination duties at night, while electronically controlled side mirrors (with power folding functions) were integrated with side turning lamps. Each side of the car features protective door moldings with chrome inserts, while the roof is finished with a fin-type antenna and the back has a new pair of taillamps.

Inside, Mitsubishi's flagship sedan keeps the premium feel of the car with luxurious soft leather appointments and wood trimmings. The driver's seat gets 8-ways powered adjustability with lumbar support while the passenger seat can be adjusted 4-ways. Other comfort touches include a fully automatic climate control system, automatic retractable rear glass sunshade, separate rear aircon vents, map lamps & rear seat reading lamps and a host of compartments on the center console, instrument panel and rear seat armrest. On the dashboard, a CD/DVD/MP3 entertainment system has been seamlessly integrated, while the steering wheel also receives new upgrades with audio controls and a Tiptronic shifter for greater driving fun.

Powering the Galant SE is the 4G69 inline-4 engine, a 2.4-liter motor equipped with MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing and Electronic Control System) that adjusts valve timing for optimal performance for all driving conditions. Transmitting the engine's power and torque to the road is an INVECS-II 4-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of safety and security, the Galant SE is equipped with dual stage SRS airbags, a rearview camera plus front and reverse parking sensors, making parking easier and safer.. The central door locks also has an auto lock feature once the vehicle moves to 5 kilometers per hour and, as an additional safety feature, the Galant SE audio and video system has Bluetooth connectivity function with mobile phones, making calls a safer affair.

The most awaited upgrade, however, has to be the satellite navigation system that has been built-in with the in-car entertainment unit, allowing Galant SE owners to chart their own course in the Metro and beyond. Setting off from Manila, participants each took a new Galant SE on a pre-charted course up to Massimo's in Tagaytay City, a secluded restaurant easily found by the GPS satnav system.

Priced at PhP 1,588,000 , the 2010 Galant SE is available in three colors: Merlin Black, Excalibur Silver and Nicolei Grey.

With a new design, high level of comfort and advanced upmarket features, various members of the motoring press expressed their satisfaction on the new and upgraded flagship, adding another great badge, SE, to a long and illustrious line of Mitsubishi Galants.

If I had the money..I'd still go for the LANCER EVO X I still think it is worthy to carry the GALANT Flagship since it really resembles the 8thgen look (SHARK type). It was called the GALANT FORTIS in JAPAN btw. Wonder why they changed it here to Lancer?

7th Gen (egg shaped) pababa, there are variants of na di Carburador pa rin. As far as I know ha, I think I read somewhere in one of the GALANT websites.

Ah...those Grey Imports. I read in Top Gear to stay away from those.

Nyways can anyone tell me what seems to be the cause of my car having trouble starting up? The problem is I left it for 2 days without running. So I started and it really took me a long time 'till I get it started. And when I did got it started, namamatayan ako while running it. Medyo kinabahan ako? But now it's running perfectly normal again (after a few breathtaking tries). Is that enough to cause, yung sinasabing stuck-up?

I have my own theories. First off, this is not the first time I experienced it. The cause (then) were the battery terminals...maluwag yung cable, so kahit naandar ako minsan namamatayan ka! Delikado ito kasi you loose control of the car all of a sudden!

So now I am guessing, the SPARK PLUGS? Last time kasi I think the mechanic put the wrong type (instead of a 16 they put a 15 or something like that?). I'll check again for the correct specs of my SPARKS.

Maybe next time I'll buy my own SPARKS, since malapit ko na naman pa CHANGE-OIL and TUNE UP 'ire. Will keep you posted on this, for the meantime, I hope you could give me tips kung what else could have cause my car to stutter. Thanks pips!
